Shorter 1st 2nd and 3rd might mean that 3rd gear is needed to reach 60mph and so an extra gear change = longer 0-60. Quicker inbetween the changes though so might be unchanged. Hate the front, like the rear. Lighter wheels sound good too.

:( I timed my 197 at 6.5 on a wet road with a g-tech. Was the best run, it varied wildly from 8.2 with a lot of wheelspin to 6.5 on a slightly less damp patch with probably really warm sticky tyres. Could regularly get 6.8 after that but not lower. Might go try again on the snow...

I know acceleration isn't the main point of the run but I'd still like to see the full brutal force from lower speeds.

I read this too. I have noticed my exhaust is much, much louder at almost 11,000 miles than it was when I got the car brand new. A lot of 197 owners report the same so perhaps there is some truth in it!
