get a mate to tow you a mile or so down the road, cut the aux belt off and call the rac. they should be able to take you to a garage of your choosing (depending on level of cover though). Tell them the technician said it would be ok to drive like that to a garage, but clearly it wasnt and could...
Yours is a clio sport, however it is not a renaultsport clio.
Essentially like a ford ghia, no real reason to it just a way to use up some left over sport badges.
yeh im undecided at the moment, tapes only been on a few days but not the best quality so some bits are peeling at the edge (or may be bits that were'nt cleaned properly before applying it). Either way ive got a feeling its going to take some lacquer off if i remove it so might go for a bright...
Sounds like youve got an air leak somewhere, check all pipes etc and make sure they're all on secure. If they are it could be that one of the gaskets isnt right/broken, im plumping a guess at the rubber ring gasket underneath the plenum, cant remember name for what it is that it seals though sorry.
Anyone else planning on going? I was tempted to have a go on track as its cheap but as it would be my first time i dont think a show trackday would be a good idea, too many heroes. Although if anybody is going and they're going on track, ill try and get some pics/vids on my camera.
Seeing as my last post was locked has anyone got a part number to call Renault with for a ph1 throttle position sensor/potentiometer? And before this one gets locked too, I'd already checked the sticky above and it's not in there.
Thanks
Has anyone got a part number for a ph1 throttle position sensor/potentiometer. All i get from renault is that you cant get it seperately, it comes as part of the throttle body, circa £280ish. had a similar problem getting an idle control valve too.
thanks
ok cheers, ill keep an eye out at my local scrappys, just feels electrical if you know what i mean. action etc of the body itself is lovely but if i can find a cheap enough replacement ill give it a crack anyway.
Had a longstanding, niggling annoyance with my car and just wondering if anyone else is the same? If im in slow moving traffic and off the throttle, when i go to apply it again it takes a bit of throttle before suddenly jolting the car then driving like normal. General driving causes no other...
Mine sounds like this too but not as loud, was thinking the alternator might be on it last legs but its been doing it since i got it and not got any worse. Ill try engaging the clutch later and see if that stops it as never noticed before. If it stops then at least it narrows it down a bit (i...
whiteline arb for me so far, definetly worth the money. That said, ive not changed my steering wheel yet, just hope the missus catches on to the hints i keep dropping for xmas;)
Have you checked the air filter at all? just wondering if it sucked up a load of water and wouldnt rev properly originally due to a soaked filter. Gradually this has dried out/been sucked through the engine, maybe worth checking the plugs again or possibly the cat but not sure if that could...
Ill just do what someone has already mentioned, preorder from a store, tesco etc. Then pick it up and if its cheaper elsewhere after a couple of days, ill buy that one and take the new copy back to the more expensive shop. although i probably wont be arsed if its only a tenner saving. :approve:
Fapping love mine since i fitted it. Got it about two weeks ago and cant believe how much more its improved the turn in. The only time ive made it understeer since fitting is going into a small roundabout at about 45mph ish, still held and went round just had a bit of tyre squeal. It makes the...
Problem being heatsoak, this being the main reason an open cone is generally a bit poo. so if you start drilling holes in the standard box you'll suffer pretty much the same problem. you never get much of a gain from induction changes generally, so if you want noise you may aswell go for a cone...
Could still be the motor, i had the same with mine. Cant remember what theyre like on a ph2 but on my ph1 the front and rear squirters are both run from the same pump. Mine sounded fine but the mechanism inside was shot and barely dribbled out. Swapped it for a new pump (£12 i think from...
Could be the cat in the exhaust thats broken away and is blocking the exhaust gases from getting out. try getting under the car and giving it a knock with your hand to see if it rattles but thats not always a guarantee if its wedged itself.
FLOL, i wondered if this heap would ever turn up on here. ive seen it going around and my mate lives round the corner from it. when we drove past it the other day he said mine could look like that . . . i willingly offered to shoot my own c**k off if i ever got seen driving anything like that...
pads have probably been changed when the discs were half worn so there was a slight lip causing the grooves on the pads. and iirc my inner pads had worn more than my outer ones when i changed them but may have been a slightly sticky caliper carrier meaning the ineer pushed more than the outer...
i think the only difference is how the anti roll bar mounts to the arms. the arms on my ph1 use a hook type bracket to mount the arb bush and im pretty sure the later ones use a drop link. that said i cant remember if my ones had the hole for a drop link to fit or not.
