Hi guys, one of my HID bulbs has stopped working so on the lookout for a replacement. Any recommendations? I believe that bulbs with the metal bases are best aswell as the plastic ones can sometimes sag down? I want to try 4300k/5000k ones and they are 35w cheers

Well I say backfiring... basically sometimes when setting off (car stone cold from overnight) when I rev to about 2.5k, and I let off the accelerator, the exhaust makes 1 big pop/bang. After the first time if I rev on purpose it pops each time for a min or so till the car is warmed up slightly...

After a video of a 172 fitted with a prospeed exhaust, including de-cat and a centre silencer. Fitting mine after my MOT wouldn't mind hearing one beforehand though. cheers Jonesy

Anybody done this? Did mine the other day was really easy, just wondered what ROM/kernels people are using? At the moment I'm running CheckRom RevoHD V4 and a siyah kernel, overclocked it to 1.4ghz using SetCPU.

Ringing round for some prices for cambelt change etc. inc. dephaser and one garage (renault specialist) said some early ones don't have a dephaser, is this correct? If so how would I know on my car? Cheers

Right basically last night I realised when I am parked up, engage 1st and release the handbrake my car just rolls, so all the time i've been leaving it in 1st incase the handbrake fails may as well not of bothered lol. Any ideas what would cause this? Cheers

Was behind you for ages after leaving Tesco in the silver phase one 172 you had a cliosport sticker on back window, lowered, black rear badges, looked like a custom exhaust/group N one? Don't know many people on here so unsure who you are lol looked smart! good lad for dodging the potholes too...

Noticed recently that my 172 when driving around 3k revs and then letting off the gas to slow down theres a whistling as the revs drop, any ideas? Had a quick look about, could it be middle section/cat join not being properly sealed? cheers peeps

After fitting my HID kit I think I disturbed the fog light connection somewhere as they don't work now, but I don't care tbh so I am going to remove them. Just after some ideas of what to do in terms of making it look neat. Can fog light blanks be bought? what have other people done? Pics...

Basically when I start my car from cold, obviously I drive very steady, when I rev to say 2.5k and let off the pedal to slow down, my exhaust pops like a b**ch, just one loud pop. It does this every time I let off the pedal until the cars warmed up a bit and it stops. I'm pretty clueless...

Just went to fit my top mount "fix" washers last night, and the bolt will not budge! I am going to go to a garage tomorrow and see what they can do, but if worst comes to worse and they won't come off what happens then? Really pissed off nothing is ever simple for me lol P.s none of this...

Sorry for being a total thicko, but I am wanting to replace my gearbox mounts, could someone pelase point me in the right direction for some uprated ones? Also dogbone mount, what's this? lol is it gearbox or engine? Any links to an uprated one? Sorry if I seem thick :approve: Cheers

Recently when pulling away (when the car is warm) if I give it a bit of stick there is a loud popping noise but is hard to locate where from. The car does jolt slightly, any ideas what this could be? Also lately I have noticed the gearstick shakes more than usual, not mechanically minded but...

Orite guys, after a de-cat for my 172 phase 1, looked on a few websites, there's one on k-tec and with delivery would be £130, anyone know of somewhere cheaper? Not that i'm a tight arse but was thinking more of 100 or just under hopefully! Cheers
