yep, completly standard from what i can tell, x plate 172. i'm impressed by the standard performance but want a few subtle mods that would get them saxo chavs off my back :)

can anyone give some advice for adding some extra bhp to a ph1 clio? i have a budget of around 1k so any help would be much appreicated, cheers! :)

the back box om my ph1 snapped off and i didn't notice until the next day, there wasn't much noise level difference, not sure what that has got to do with this thread but thought i'd put my 2 cents worth in :) but i do think that loud cars are just ott, and stupid!

Was behind me for a fair few miles on the M5 today, also spotted, at the same time an identical car going north on the M5, just goes to show the 182 are more "out n about" than my trusty ph1 :) lol

the best i've had was around 42-43 mpg, at the moment about 34 around town. heard somewhere that if on the motorway 67mph is the optimum speed to get good mpg

Wow, just read the whole thread, you've showed patients and dedication to this project. A lot of people would've thrown in the towel at the first hurdle. When a problem came up you worked hard to get past it, well done mate, I'm impressed :cool:

Hmmmm interesting, I won't be going there for a service! If I did I may get my car back near Christmas! When I had an engine change on my old valver, it only took them 6 days to source, remove and fit the engine complete and with a new clutch too! Saying that the cam belt went 3 months later...

i've had my ph1 up to 130mph on an airfield and still would've went quicker but was running out of runway!

yeah i agree with that, had a ph2 behind me once on a dual carridge way and spotted 2 others going in the opposite direction at the same time.

Couldn't really get a good shot of the damage because of the light, but I hope that these snaps give you an idea. Never uploaded pictures on here before, didn't know the size would be reduced!

It doesn't seem too deep, not enough to to get my finger nail into, feels a bit rough though when you run your finger tip along it. I just don't understand it either mate... I really do think it's jealousy! I'm interested if you're willing to take a look too :)

Just found to my absolute horror that the rear quarter N/S of my Clio has been probably keyed but some jealous cnut!!!!! I am raging right now!!!!!! 2 scratches about 18 inches long!!!!! *Deep Breath* Anyway, has any got any experiece on how to make a good job of putting it right? Or am I better...

Only got a tiny look of this, well I actually heard it first before seeing it blast off down the hill in my mirrors. By the forester pub over the M42. Not sure of what time though, may have been just before 10am :)

oh dear... i'd rather string myself up from the nearest tree than drive that, i hope the wally never sells it and get lumbered with it for the rest of his living days!! looks bloody awful!

Re: I wonder what happened to my old 172 + 182 interesting thread, who owned my car before i bought it? bought it from a ford dealership in chipping camden, reg plate X731 YBD and tbh it was well looked after, even got the original mats... although now they are a bit tatty :) had just over 79k...

hi everyone, does anyone know if you can buy alloy door handles/pulls? i ask because the drivers handle is looking rather scummy and the top layer is flaking away. also are they easy enough to replace withoout any hassle?

i had a similar problem on my valver a few years back. turned out that the manifold gasket was blown apart so the mechanic told me. so £300 later it was back to normal..... but to this day can't help but feel ripped off! oh well lol

i have a problem with my hazards, when i switch them on they only work on the one side. is this just a problem with the switch? also, when parking my car up, moving at very slow speed if i turn the steering wheel i hear a knock. is this a ball joint issue? anyway if anyone else has had any of...
