any clues? just had a new engine put in. same gearbox etc ... jsut the speedo isnt working now anyone got an idea how to fix it or how much it would cost to get someone to fix it???

A short time ago my cambelt snapped as the previous owner told me it had changed but it hadnt. one of the valves has snapped altogether and damaged a piston and it needs a whole new engine. dunno whether to get a 1.6 16v back in again. will a 2.0 16v fit straight in without changing anything...

well i have got rid of the 1.6 16v... finished my apprenticeship n thought why not reward myself with a new car... part ex'd it in for a 172 cup... pick it up during the week:cool: cant wait

last week my car stopped working when i took my old cd player out... the windows, central locking and the ignition (or it might of been the immobiliser) didnt work so it was undrivable.. i checked the fuse on the battery but it wasnt that, ive checkked all the fuses and relays down by the side...

im not happy... they failed me car because the handbrake is too tight, my brake pedal doesnt have a pad on it(anti slip device:S )... and theyre saying my offset rear brake is recording very low or no response.... i agree with the brakes not working properly but to fail me cos i have no pad...

my car seems to whine when i get to about 2000 rpm... ive had a look at the alternator belt and it looks fine...(its not streched as its still tight) someone said my water pump might be on its way... sounds like rubbing but its not affecting the drive... and if something was rubbing it wouldnt...

alrite ppl... im in a situation... do ppl think i should sell me clio 1.6 16v (110bhp) for a civic 1.6 Vti VTEC? (158bhp) i currently cant afford the 182 or 172 insurance since im only 19 and have 6 points lol... god knows how i got insured on my clio on group 10... suggestions please?
