Traction control and SERV lights on - no fault codes

Hi all Recently had the traction control light and serv light come on after putting my car back to standard. Plugged in my RSTuner which came up with a brake pedal fault. Adjusted the switch as per the guide on here, cleared the fault code, refreshed the faults list and all good. However...

    My new project :)

Looks like the clio may be on hold for a while as my new project has now arrived: Broke down on the way home as ran out of battery charge. So first job was to rewire the alternator as the loom was a mess: Then we picked up a new interior to try and make one...

    Cup racer inspired brake ducts

After bedford trackday it was clear that my brakes could do with a little help to keep them cooler. The obvious was to use the fog light surround as most people do, but with the shape of the bumper could see that a lot of air would just go past. Other option was cup racer ducts but couldn't...

    Brake pads and pedal feel

Went on the RUK Bedford trackday on Friday. I have braided hoses all round, standard rear discs and pads and Brembo Max discs, pagid blue pads up front. Pedal feel and braking power was not great the whole evening, lots of travel and not the braking power i expected - nothing like as good...

    182 'project' nearly finished

Can't classify it as a proper project as not taken many phots but been gradually doing bits and pieces on my car over the last 9 months or so getting it ready for a few trackdays and hopefully the odd sprint/hillclimb this year. Just had another big push at the weekend and now just about done...

    Vibration from brakes

I had Pagid Blues/Brembo Max's fitted about 2-3 months ago. Every now and again I get really bad vibrations through the steering wheel and brake pedal when drving normally, not using the brakes. A couple of a pushes on the brakes get rid of it. Seems to only happen at A-road/motorway speeds...

Is mild steel strong enough to make subframes?

I've got a pair of Cobra Evolutions to fit - one standard and one GT width - and speaking to Cobra today the GT with one won't fit with x-low subframes and will need adaption bars on the standard subframe adding weight and cost. So I might have a crack at making my own. Question is will mild...

MSV/Caged half cage - fitting queries

Hi. Picked up my cage half cage last night (cheers to rosssei for the cage and ben_p for the posting advice - no penalty charge even!). The cage came with 4 spacing washers, 2 about 3cm thick and 2 about 1cm thick. I had assumed it would be the two thin ones to space the front bar between...

Can you over declare mods to insurance??

Probably sounds like a stoopid question but can you over declare modifications in anticipation of doing them?? Insurance is through Greenlight and had two quotes, one with no mods and one with all the mods I want to make over the next year. Only £20 difference but doing the modifications in...
