Did exactly the same thing with my girlfriends car this weekend and guess what same car. Bit of a girls car tho and the boot is a joke, but goes quite well.
Still got the valver, been putting a megane engine in it over the last couple of months, having a few teething problems with her now, wasn't at the show, just went down to have a look.
My new engine.
Excellent. thanks for the replies. had a piece of the metal stuff routed to the hole next to the fog but that has broken to bits now. am putting a new engine in so can get good access to make mods to the area where it comes through the side of the engine bay.
Will contact martin then to see...
I know people have got a feed that fits in the fog light hole but i can't find any info on it, or pictures.
Can anyone help please. And how much does it cost and is ducting included
Cheers Ian.
Matrix is about £40. Took me about six hours to do the job too. Dash doesn't need to be all the way out just enough to get behind really. Worth it tho for warm air.
Have replaced the cam belt etc and also the auxilery belt but this now needs tightening.
Do i use a spanner to hold the pulley and an allen key to undo the bolt in the centre? The space is not great so can i get an allen key in there?
Any tips would be great on how to do this!
Cheers Ian
The plug on the back of the panel has prob burned out. happened to mine on speed 2. take the panel out and investigate like brun said. Don't know how much a new plug is tho.
Matty - I take it they do them for the valver but can't find them listed anywhere online. and i've seen them cheaper than that elsewhere. £349 is the cheapest i think!
Nice Rear!!
See i've got a magnex and always thought it was quite loud. Plus it is a pain to get to sit right without it knocking agains't something.
Would go to pro speed in Cardiff if it near and have one made. will be going there myself probs.
You will need a small bit of machine work to get the head to accept the dizzy. Can use the cam tho. Plus the megane head has bigger valves and is a better head than the 1.8. you will need to alter minor things to like the icv etc to get it to run. Speak to BenR on here or Stan cos hes done the...
What did the guy do? complete spray to the panels or match them in? How much did it cost? If you don't mind me asking. mine need doing when the engine is done.
Are they the same.
I've been searching for a clutch for my megane engine and gearbox and the megane clutch is listed as being 215mm and the williams as 200mm.
I know people have used the uprated 5 clutch from GSF foe valver engines but will it fit the meg
Any advise appreciated.

My cam belt snapped on friday in my valver! So have no car now, can borrow other peoples in the evenings but is a pain.
I have an F7R out of megane in the garage that i have stripped down, wanted to get the head worked on while it was out with new cams etc, and slowly build it up so i spread...
I used some matt black spray over my stripps a while back, thought it would chip off really easy but still looks ok
