I get on the trip about 26.6mpg.
But I always look at how much I put in for miles covered, light-light. 330miles to a tank.
My 172 used to be about 300 to a tank but the 197 has a gallon more fuel.
I would say both are about the same for me but I hoooned the 172 every where and tyres are...
Was told recently by a cheeky dealer when I was dropping my mum off to pick up her Corsa 1.3 D, her Diesel will be faster than my loud boy racer car.
I replied "Ye, I was quite amazed when I heard that Vauxhall managed to get 170bhp out of a 1.3d"
Dealer "I know, it even won awards for fuel...
On my 1.4 there was a small green wire in the wiring loom that had snaped, but not completly. Check this, because it was the renault tech guy so told me to check this on mine.
I dont think a car will ever stall once running because of flat'sh battry??
The "check emissions" light came on in my 197 the day after having my cam belts done, could this be related.
What other things might cause the light to come on? (Engine management light- "Check Emissions")
The car seems to run fine, no miss-firing or juddering.
There was a strange quite loud...
4 years as a 1.4 and 15 months as a 2ltr - just waiting to get the plates changed over to my 197 which ive had for 15 days.

Mine is fine at below 50mph as said. Anything above that though for any extended amount of time will do your head in. does sound fantastic on full chat though :)
Got a 197 aswell now an it very nice to drive without the noise ALL THE TIME.
dont dout that, about 30mins for me.
