Thanks for the replies guys. I've booked the car in to get them to replace the disks free of charge. Il report back and give the thread a bump in a few weeks to hopefully offer others a solution to what seems like a common problem.
The spacers were in place when I changed the First set. As for the torque settings/ spacer arrangement used by the garage I couldn't comment due to a lack of time to take the disks off again. If they had set it up wrong would this cause a failure to occur that quickly. I.e <2000 miles??

Over the past twenty thousand miles I have had to replace the rear disks twice on a 172 Cup. Due to a very noticeable whirring noise which was down to the rear bearings in the disks failing. This noise has started to come back for a third time.
Can anyone shed any light onto what could be...
installing the first ones isnt too big a job. can do it in an afternoon if your organised. you can go the whole way and remove the original wires and rewire decent wiring to the hu. for 55 quid i would just snip the originals out and splice the new ones into the original wires. all standard fit...
I got a set of contisport 3's a good while ago. They've held up well and id recommend them. Always fancied getting a set of v12's though as everyone raves on about how good they are!
Depends on budget, can get going with an uprated setup for £250. Thats a decent sony or alpine HU, Component speakers, wiring kit and an amp. Ebay is your friend on this one can usually pick some good brands at a lower price than RRP. Hertz, SPL dynamics, JBL50.. range and Alpine are the best...
Mine does this when cold always has... Heard it was the norm so happy to put up with it as it drives fine when warmed up. Mines been serviced perfectley since new so confident that its normal. if your not down on power and the engine isnt choking or stalling id just accept it unless it gets...
Mine just got replaced as original failed causing the immobiliser to lock the car down. Replacement is £4.99 from halfords and takes 10 mins to fix. Be warned the bolt on the wheel arch side is a bastart to get purchase on.
Take the boot carpet up and use the bolt holding the rear bench in place. That earth does look fairly weak. Start at the battery and check every connection until you reach the subs. No doubt it will be something silly you ve forgot.
If the amps getting power and not shorting out it is most probably your RCA cables fault. Double check you ve used the HUs sub out and not the usual red and white speaker output as alot of HU's wont send the signal for a sub using the normal output, usually a black set of leads hanging loose you...
Spl dynamics, jbl 508c on a budgetor a set of rainbows will see a far better sound than standard if your looking at a higher budget amping isthe best way to do it. Just depends on your budget.
no idea they look like every other metal pedal set on earth though. unless you see the back you cant tell. but id say they will fit as it be hard not to tbh most are pretty much universal.
