There are 3 wires feeding the coil on the 172/cup, two equal diameter wires which are orange and white and a 3rd thicker wire which is white. Does anybody know which of these is the coil negative?

I need +12v, ground and tacho input for a shift light. Can a renault guy tell me if I can get the +12v and tacho off the standard fuse box inside the car (cup) or do I need to get it off the coil in the engine bay with the wiring hassle that involves?

anybody removed the fogs and fitted cooling ducts to the brakes? If so some feedback on attachment points and maybe piccies would be most appreciated..
recommendations on shift lights please. Either a traditional system feeding of the tacho on the ECU, or I have heard about systems that just plug into your 12v socket and sense pulses off the alternator. You then need to calibrate them against actual rpm. Ideally I need something with 3 LEDs...

Renault wont tell me at what rpm the vvt is activated, and at what rpm it deactivates if thats different. Also, Ben believes vvt advances the inlet by 16 degrees when activated.

seem to remember the 172/cup injectors are rated 52bhp each. what does that mean in practice? they cant deliver enough fuel for an airmixture required for 55 bhp per injector? does that mean they just run out of fuel to inject and you start running lean???
