I get this alot, the brakes also lockup very very easily so i presume this is my problem as well.

I am looking to tint my winows, how hard would it be to tint them and would it be better to buy precut tints or on a roll? Bearing in mind the precut ones are about £30 more exspensive!

Hi was thinking about getting a performance exhaust system for my car as the backbox has compeltely rusted off so im running the car with no backbox. Has anyone had any experiences of the above on their mark 1's particularly the 1.4/1.6's cheers.

Lots of people will tell you to buy a faster car to begin with but like me you are probably restricted by insurance. IMO modding a car is fun and you will learn a lot!

The Manufacturers claim an increase in performance its b****cks IMO, only change them if they need changing!

I think youd be really lucky to get 100bhp out of your car. These are a couple of things you could do however to get it up to say around 90-95. 1. Performance Exhaust 2. Induction Kit/Panel Filter 3. De-Cat 4. ECU Remap 5. Fast Road Camshaft errmmm cant really think of anything else...

Hi, im just about to go and pick up a non starting clio fro free off a friend. Does anyone know what i will have to have (ie. insurance/tax etc?) to "drive" the car being towed behind my friends jeep? Also does the towing vehicle need anything other than insurance and a license and tax? thanks

IMO I would go for it, if a 1.4 is all you can afford/insure then why not tune it a bit. People will say wait an get a faster car then tune that rather than doing ti to a 1.4 as realistically there will be a limit to how fast it will go with the orgiginal block. IMO do it, i have a 1.4 and plan...

The lights on the clio's seem a little unreliable to me :S Maybe im just unlucky? Take the dash off and test the wiring while he lights are on with a test lamp.

The problem is the price to get from here (Guernsey, Channel Islands) would add an extre £200 at least so i guess i dont really have an option. He could of told me anything i was just seeing if he had tryed to rip me off!

I was in my local "car tuning" workshop today and i was jsut asking about the price of some team dynamics and if they would fit my clio. Then the guy goes, no but i could remap your ECU to "race" for £350 giving u between 8 and 12 extra bhp. I was like ok cheers cya. Rip off or not?

Hi just bought my new clio (1995 1.4 RT) and the full beam headlight doesnt work. It flashes ok when the lights are off or just on dipped beam but wont stay in position when on full lights. I have taken the dash off and managed to remove the whole body abd stalk, does anyone have any suggestions...

Yer ure right, peopel sometimes forget bout replacing the standard speakrs, put in an amp/sub/6x9's and then wonder why their system doesnt sound any good at high volumes! Defo replace the stock speakers at the same time!!:cool:

In my experinece this site is very cheap ; www.caraudiosecurity.com It all depneds whether you want to go for like amazing sounding stuff becuase on thtat site for example a jbl sub, 4 channel amp, and 2 6x9's are only bout £150, not bad IMO?

Is it true that the rear suspension on a 1995 1.4 RT consists of torsion beams therefore making lowerin gimpossible???:eek:

I thought as they are shorter yet still rather springy the shocks bottom out resulting in a loud noise and some metal on metal action?

What do you mean by lights and levels? Also will those side skirts fit a 5 door?

I bloody hate insurers, especially here on guernsey, theyre so incionsistent, 1500 for my mates 1.2 and 700 for another mates vtr? Police and insurers just try and stop us having any fun!!!!:dapprove:
