At the moment I live in Uni halls. Each room gets an internet feed. It uses the LAN cable (is it CAT 5 or something?) so has a female LAN connection on the wall. At the moment the LAN cable goes straight from the connection on the wall into the PC. But if I were to get an IPOD touch or IPHONE...
When speed builds, do tyre change shape? As in do they become curved in a convex way? Or do the metal strands, combined with the high pressure, keep the tyre in the same shape?
Thanks
Sam
The plastic matting (the stuff thats bonded to the boot floor and underneath the back seats started melting. It also melted plastic bags I had in the boot.
Is this normal?!? :S
P.S. The back is stripped btw...
Sometimes (it seems increasingly often) there is a bloody loud squeak/squeal from under the bonnet. Seems to happen most when there is lots of moisture in the air (so hot humid days or the wet).
95% sure its a belt and if its a belt it must be the aux belt (as squeaking is slipping and the...
Would someone be able to find a part number for the Ball Bearing Ring that fits just under the top mount in the front suspension strut assembly of a 1.2 16v?
Thanks very much
Sam
Don't ask how (it wasn't me) but I have bumper blackener all over one side of my car. It is like an oiley type substance and has been rubbed in!
Best way to get it off?
Thanks
Sam
Checked my oil this morning just through routine - was a bit alarmed to find it was so low the dipstick doesn't even get wet :S
Would this explain a squeaking sound that I thought was the aux belt?
Which oil do I use? We have some 20w-50 in the garage...any good? Aslong as the car won't f**k...
Bit of a detailing session as I am selling both clios in the next week. I have a few scratches I need to sort out (touch up pen when it arrives) but I will do that another day.
Process:
Power wash to remove flies dust etc...
Wash using AG body wash and conditioner using lambswool mitt

Titanium drill bits and a household drill don't seem to go through the metal.
Is there a specialist tool to remove them? Don't have access to a welder btw...
Sam
Hey guys,
I have a scratch one my rear bumper (dynamique one) about 6 inches long. It is reasonably deep in parts (deep enough to get your nail stuck in and for it to feel rough to the touch.
Best way to remove it/hide it?
Not too bothered myself, its just I am selling the car and cba...
How do you do it on the front?
The strut just seems far to long?
I can just get the strut in at the top (under the bonnet) but then I can't get it anywhere near the hub?
Any ideas?
Sam
On expressions and authentiques that have those little covers on them how the hell do you fit them?
Mine seem to be at a weird angle and I can't get them to go in properly?
Thanks
Sam
Background info:
Had some problems with the cars fuses/relays clicking and stopping the immoboliser light going off. After replacing them and messing around with them alot I finally sorted it and replaced a fried fuse. Since then the car has been running but in limp mode so I took advice...
Liquid Yellow with all decals.
What can I say - absolutely awesome. Awesome to drive and awesome to look at.
IMO it felt quicker than both the ph1 and 2 172s I have driven and handled much better.
Feels so much better quality as well.
Little bit jealous as the guy who owns it is a mate...
The unlocking key for the wheel bolts on my clio has snapped inside so the pattern no longer matches.
Can I take the key into Renault and ask them to find me a new one or is it drill the bugger out time? Its on too tight for tapping it out btw.
Thanks
Sam
P.S. I do not have the locking...
I have recently had a problem with the fuses on my 1.2 16v 03 plate (as some of you may know) and I was unable to get the immoboliser light out.
I eventually worked out which fuse was playing up and saw it had melted and deformed. I replaced the fuse and the car starts pretty much first time...
Where can I source the cheapest battery from? I will literally run it for 2 weeks so it doesn't need to be fancy or antyhing...
All car batteries the same?
Thanks
