Just taken a BMW 320 turbo around the Nurburgring...I've never concentrated so hard in my life! Going to play around with the setup and brave turning assists off as well

You learn faster with assists off imo. Manual also, not gunna lie some of the cars sound awesome having a quick blip of the rev limiter before changing up.

@Addicted I have 2xR2 290's and I can run it using eyefinity so 5760x1080 I run the following settings and get between 35fps and 55fps on Le Mans with 55 AI cars.

Unfortunately I've had to disable CrossFire to get this. If I leave Crossfire enabled I get about 15fps :(

Windowed: no
Texture Resolution: high
Texture Filtering Anisotropic: 2x
V-Sync: no
A-A: off
FXAA: off
SMAA: High
Reflections: High
Environment Map: High
Car detail: High
track detail: high
Shadow detail: high
Motion Blur: medium
render frames ahead: 1
Detailed grass: low
Particle level: High
Particle Density: High
Stretched Headlight Reflections: No

I'm doing real assists plus clutch - I'm assuming not many cars get any bar the odd bit of TC

I'll post my specs later for PC - I've not touched the settings at all (so they won't be super high) but I'm getting good frame rates

You runing clutch too?

I do have clutch but I'm also using auto clutch at the minute. You cant really flat shift in this like you could Forza though so it doesn't make a difference.

Saw this worth a read if anyone hasn't seen it.. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?22817-Please-read-Xbox-One-Issues-UPDATED-12-05

FIXED ISSUES FOR PATCH
- Issue where cars would garage into closed garages in Zolder
- Console TT is now set to 11am to match PC
- Re-enabled saving of Community ghosts
- Added ABS brake rumble to XB1 triggers
- Changed XB1 pad rumble to only update during the per frame tick and not at 600hz
- Use absolute acceleration values for blending and updating steering movement to prevent negative direction
- XB1 trigger rumble scaled along with FFB rumble. XB1 analogue stick range corrected to use full extent
- The driver can no longer be switched in MP races and time trials
- Fix for NULL pointer protection when accessing ProximityDetector GUI

Just testing these updates apparently.

Right one of you guys is bound to know, when I started my career I set it to amateur, it's a little too easy how do I change it now I've started? Xbox one btw

I've turned my steering sensitivity right down as I found it too difficult to correct oversteer without correcting it too much, improved it for me...however bends tighter than 90 degrees are proving much more difficult! I find I have to take them from a wider angle or slower than normal.

You playing on PS4 mate? Tried to join your session yesterday but it wouldn't let me.

I turned all the aids off tonight and find it loads easier and better/more realistic so far. Not tried any of the mega high powered cars yet though...

Has anyone had a crack at the Brands Indy, Clio Cup CM yet? I've managed a 54.058 as above without ANY aids and using a controller. Will have another bash tomorrow night. Think I should be able to take another second off at least (hopefully!)

Is my set up at the minute but I'm going to try some other set ups tonight I think.

I've done a 53.692 on the Clio community event. Could spend hours doing that and I reckon I could take a second off if I got it perfect, though that might be optimistic.

Agreed, takes a little getting used to at first but once you get the hang of it, it's like riding a bike, you'll never forget!
Remapping to X (Down) and B (Up) makes it easier in my opinion.

Also, I'm really not loving the crash physics, especially on the escort:

Flol! Yeah it's impossible to flip them I think.. Escort was awful when I had a go last. I done the same with the gears, just like Forza then. I moved a few other bits also to suit me.

Getting to grips with it more now. I've done slight tuning to my clio as well as the controller settings it handles okay considering there needs to be updates both to the game and I need to update my controller.

Changed all my configurations again lol, wasn't too bad but I've spent an hour tuning the clio cup trying and failing with a few set ups but I've got it on a nice sweet spot now. The game is pretty playable with this car and set up now just need the trigger vibration.

Sounds good. What car setup did you settle on?

Lol @ the replay, was watching it thinking how the f**k is he going round there in 5th gear at 6k rpm?! I'm normally in 3rd..... then I realised your gear indicator is permanently in 5th :p

Had a few rounds last night - including starting my career in the Clio Cup.
I'm falling in love with that Lotus Renault 98T - talk about BOOOOOOOST! Found it strangely controllable on the 'Ring when I thought it would be an utter beast. Respect the Go Pedal and it handles pretty well.

I have just a teeny tiny issue with game at the minute, on the PC. Every time I launch the game, I have to tell it that I have a G25 as it defaults to another Logitech wheel. Also, the brake is set to some weird axis - so I have to recalibrate that too. Yet strangely, the accelerator is fine?

When I set the settings on the wheel, I see a little 'save' icon appearing in the lower right corner - but it only saves them for that session of the game. If I quit and then relaunch Project Cars - I have to set the wheel up again.

Does anyone else have this issue? I'm running on Windows 7 x64.

I have this with one setting on XB1. The opposite lock setting right at the bottom doesn't save after a reboot. Which alters the steering so much, so if other people are having weird issues with steering I'd check that.
