Cheers guys, yeah I use the Thrustmaster T300RS. Theres no aids either, still turn in is a little late at T1 never mind later on in the vid. Silverstone is boring theres no two ways about it, as is Snetterton. I can't image how boring Bedford is.

That's really made me want to get a wheel now, what a difference compared to my replays. Lol.
Looks so smooth, and smooth = fast.
Bet it's transformed the game. :)
Good lap

I wouldn't even know what the games like with a joypad hahaha I refuse to even use it.

I've done a 53.692 on the Clio community event. Could spend hours doing that and I reckon I could take a second off if I got it perfect, though that might be optimistic.

I managed a 53.145 yesterday. I know I could go quicker, but I really struggle to nail my line through Clearways.

Do you have a seat setup or stand for the wheel and pedals?

I don't have a seat but I have a chair that I just move slap bang in the middle of the TV with my Wheelstand Pro. My only gripe is I have a real wood floor and as is the nature of wood its not 100% level, which then can cause the stand to move. But last night I had it all set up that close to the TV stand I just used the stand as a stopper, I think the actual stand its self doesn't have quite enough weight in the "big end". Its certainly something I could look into but for what I have and how its set up is pretty good. I'll grab a picture when I get in tonight if you like?

It's paddock and clear ways that I struggle with. I'm always turning in to early at paddock, I'm not sure I've got it right once yet.
Clearways being blind from the cockpit view is what i struggle with

I'm slowly getting to grips with Paddock.
Clearways I struggle with where to brake, while getting the line right and not spinning/running out.

The corner that's always biting me back with the Clio Cup is Redgate at Donington - the first corner at the end of the pit straight.
It's the exit that I have trouble with - literally fighting the car not to drift wide, or trundling out of it far too slowly. Once out of there - I can easily blat the lil Frenchie down through Craner Curves in 6th gear. I'm still undecided if a high-revving 3rd is better to a slightly bogged-down 4th coming out of the Old Hairpin?

But with Redgate - it's not just in Project Cars either. That bloody corner has been a bane of mine in many driving games!

I completely lost the back end around Redgate a couple of times which didn't seem to make sense at the time. I went for 4th for the Old Hairpin.

Qualified 2nd at Silverstone last night, not sure I'll have chance to do the race tonight though. Eager to get to Oulton now!

I'd love to get a wheel for this, as I seriously think it would transform the game. Gaming in the living room doesn't really allow for this though, had a wheel years ago where you place it on your lap and that was rubbish.

I'm still enjoying it though having said that.

LOL my very first wheel was a MadCatz jobby and you sat on it so the wheel came up between your legs. Truely awful thing it was amazing at the age of 9.

Oulton is my favourite - though I'm biased as its the most local to me and one I've visited many times. Lodge Corner is a tricky one to get right - but easier than Redgate at Donny, imo.

It does transform it m8 - and it's one additional aspect that favours the PC platform. As most people tend to have a desk to use their PC on - a simple side move of the keyboard, tighten your wheel on the leading edge of the desk - and away you go. I even lower my seat slightly as it 'feels' better in that position than when I'm playing FPS or other games with keyboard and mouse.

I've used this guide and similar settings to this guy, helps a lot understanding what does what exactly.

http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?23153-Xbox-One-Controller-Configuration-Guide

Sounds good. What car setup did you settle on?

Lol @ the replay, was watching it thinking how the f**k is he going round there in 5th gear at 6k rpm?! I'm normally in 3rd..... then I realised your gear indicator is permanently in 5th :tongueout:

I wont give away too much.. But I think what made the most difference was setting the toe rear/front settings closer to 0. Diff lock acel to 90% and Decel to 15%. You can also lower the amount of fuel you carry whereas it was 50l or something I now carry 30l.

Few other little adjustments but I think those made a big difference. Also I keep my tyre pressures at 160 but unsure on that yet.

Really enjoying this on controller now tbh, once the updates are sorted it should be spot on .

Oh also on the force feedback part in tuning I changed master scale to 100 not sure if it helps but I felt like I was doing better after so kept it. Takes a lot of time going in and out of tuning. Wish there was a tuning method like Forza where you can just pause the game.

Is my set up at the minute but I'm going to try some other set ups tonight I think.

Going to try this and see if it helps, currently tail flapping around like a fish on acid! though it was just the car to start with so switch to something less powerful which did exactly the same thing!

Edit: made no difference at all

1 major issue with the game, Historic Race 2 Brands Hatch. Mk1 Escort 3 gear is none existent, leisurely change from 2nd to 3rd results in Redline in 3rd. WTF

Just had the exact same lol check the gear tuning as I must have accidentally changed it so second and third had same ratio. Unless its a bug in the game perhaps if its happened to us both.

Same event...

Tyres are green and brakes are hot, the car doesn't stop, turn or have a 3rd gear.

Well this is f**king stupid, go out the career into garage to tune the escort, go back into career to use the escort after tuning and all the f**king settings are wrong.

Edit- Now it's frozen on a black screen so I've turned the cunting thing off for a bit. Buggy game, look forward to the patch.

I feel even worse at this game watching some videos in here.
I thought I was the only one..... didn't want to say. Lol.

Everyone else is on 90% difficulty. Won't say what I'm on and only scraping by. Lol
Normally good at racing games. Hopefully the controllers sorted with patch as I'm struggling, but still enjoying.

I started off on 0% the clear track is good to learn without having the pressure of trying to overtake or not be overtaken. Then I went 50% now at 60%. Still winning a lot so will try 70-80% bet 90% is tough not even trying that till these updates come out.

Anyone else have it so that when starting the races you can go before the green light? As Forza you could just hold the throttle and go but now you have to hold clutch and break then release on the green light. Not fussed just a few times I've fooked my start by rolling backwards or forwards.

Just managed a 52.901 in the clio event. Don't think I can improve on that without a wheel.

52.153 is good going!!!
