Its awesome, glad I bought the T300RS now. Just debating on whether to spend some cash on the 3 pedal sett up and the gear shifter.

TBH I always find it hard to drive anything other than Arcade games or GTA with a pad their all shite.

Did a few laps round Oulton Park in the Ginetta G55 GT4 on my first proper go of the game, 1:42:260 which is not too shabby with no aids apart from abs (which I will add Ive turned off now). I love the way it requires your full concentration to string a fast lap together, Im still fumbling my way round the settings and menus but its a great game. I'll probably play this none stop till Star Wars Battlefront.
Is that on xbox?

Does seem that the slowdown is limited to the xbox.

The only bug with regards to slowdown happened when I did a time trial around Oulton Park. I was on a good run braked into Shell turned in and the car stopped dead on the apex in neutral, I also lost all force feedback in the wheel. I restarted the session headed into Shell exactly the same but no issue.

Yeah there's a planned patch, they just have to wait for it to go through MS
http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?22817-Please-read-Xbox-One-Issues
Well that's good news. Cheers. Handy link.... now if I leave my usb lead plugged in the sound in headphones won't cut out under braking.
Means I don't have to sit half a meter from the tv with headphones plugged into it now :)

Don't know wether I'd benefit from 're installing the game too. As it's digital, does it mean I'd have to download it all again too?

Correct, I've driven Snetterton in a Clio too many times.

I think the problem is that this game needs a wheel, a controller will never be able to replicate 900 degrees of steering wheel movement on 15mm travel of a joystick!

Totally agree. I had a couple of minutes on the keyboard and also the 360 controller - and both were useless. Stuck the G25 on there and game is transformed - as others, it's the closest driving experience I've had on the PC to the 'ol classic Simbin games.

Its such a rewarding game to play - even though I did have a random issue on the 'Ring where the gears no longer worked. Then when I came to a complete stop, the gear paddles worked fine, but the throttle and brake did nothing!

If this was a gran turismo release it would of been absolutely panned by most people.[/QUOTE]

What a load of rubbish...this is the racing experience Gran Turismo shouldve been.

Is there any word from the devs regarding the bugs?.
A planned patch or at least a bloody apology!
They're working on it mate... I may or may not have a friend who works there... They are a small team and have VERY limited resources. To be honest, it's quite a feat what they've achieved. I know the bugs and issues are frustrating but they can be addressed. It's not easy making a game LOL!

I've just set up my Thrustmaster TX wheel on the Xbox according to a guide I've found to help with the FFB. It's helped no end!

Just had a quick few laps on the Formula A community event and gone 1021 place. Leader is 11 seconds ahead though.

I'm Impreza Fan if anyone wants to add me on Xbox.

Go back and read the gt5 comments. So many shared problems. But gt was less buggy.

To be fair - GT should be less buggy - given that it runs on a single platform - as does Forza.

The scale of Project Cars and the fact that it's running on multiple platforms (including the WiiU - whateverTF that is?!) is pretty damn impressive. I'm just hoping that aside from the small G25 issue I had - that they don't patch issues into the game. Fix one issue and make five more....

I actually think the issue I had was the Logitech gaming software. It has four different Logitech devices to manage and control and I think it just got confused.

Theres no conparison between the 2 as one is a car collecting game and one is a proper racing game. The actual racing in GT is so boring compared to Pcars. Whatever bugs Pcars has,i would still take it anyday over Gran Turismo. Its what people have been crying out for on console.

I just wish there were more normal cars etc.
I was a little surprised at the lack of cars!.... when I went to race weekend and browsed the cars, I assumed that was all that was available for the race weekends.
Lol, it's not, that's all that's available! :p

But I 100% would rather a big variety of tracks over cars, forza car list was great but got bored of going around the same tracks (especially when you consider their the same tracks in almost the whole series)

100~300 cars is great, but your still circling the same tracks.

What is there though is quite varied. In terms of power, grip, size and drive system. Not many jap cars though :(

Can't wait to get on it tonight!

Each to their own. If the handling is sorted (which I'm guessing is a controller issue reading that thread) and the lag is sorted, it'll be a much better game. As it stands, I can't get into it.

Lag going into the same corner every single lap, combined with the prescriptive handling (which again maybe controller related) is completely ruining it for me.

The actual racing doesn't matter imo if the basics are broken!

How many cars are there?

I'm 50/50 about getting this. Fed up of Forza now, haven't really got the time to get back into AC Unity and can only really justify one new game for the time I actually get to play.

Shame they don't do a download trial of games that you can then pay full whack and unlock. A bit like a demo I hear you say.

I'd wait for the patch. Ps4 version I'd probably get now, but xbox I'd wait.

My biggest problem is that I'm not finding it fun. Doesn't bode well when I've only done 1 and a half championships.

  AG 200 CUP
Seems to be too much of a sim for me it is so hard to get the hang off. I'm sure we all want a game to be challenging but this takes the pi** in my opinion. It's too hard which doesn't make it fun it's a shame really bit gutted i wasted £50 notes on a digital download so i can't even sell it. Only done the Clio cup so far and that's a challenging never mind doing the F1 and endurance type races later on in the game and it is laggy going round brands hatch in the Clio cup it stutters sometimes right PITA

When you look at the videos on YT, it looks like a totally different game with a wheel setup over the controller. Smoothness which impossible to achieve (and badly needed with all the cars) with the controller is easily achievable with a wheel.

Price of a good wheel + stand is nearly 300 bucks so a lot to invest in one game.

Anyone else think the historic touring championship with the Escort is frickin hard? THE worst car for handling I've experienced so far. 2 laps to get the tyres up to temperature.

The escorts drives me absolutely mental. It's infuriating to drive. I won the clio cup then I won the formula g1000 dubai easily and the escort is just killing me lol

Wheres all lag people are talking about? Ive done about 10 hours on the PS4 version and not seen any. Also about the low number of cars, what has struck me the most about Pcars is how different every car feels...give me this instead of 500+ cars in GT anyday. Quality over quantity id say..

I have yet to notice any lag on the Xbox one either. Its a good game as it stands, Just needs the issues sorted but they are being worked on.

I don't get the people that are saying it is unplayable with a pad though, I tried it instead of the wheel just to see if it was that bad and once i had fiddled with the settings it was fine, yes its hard but thats because it isn't your Simcade game that Forza etc is. I won the Clio cup with the controller, 80% AI difficulty, All assists bar ABS off as they don't have the impulse trigger feedback working yet and its very hard to feel when the wheels are going to lock.

It is a completely different game with a wheel mind you, Hope my wheel stand appears soon, The coffee table isn't ideal

R8 LMS round the Ring in the dark and wet is something special, The sounds and graphics are stonking.

The lag comments are coming from XB1 users. PS4 has been bug free for the most part, which why I think some people are not liking it. Once the bugs are fixed their opinions may change. I'd love a wheel but I can't justify the cost when I'm happy with the pad.

Try Oulton Park, island layout. If you don't get lag @island you're in a special group of 1 reading the forums.

I'm really thinking about buying an xbox one now, just for this game. Where's the cheapest place to get one?
Have you read any of the comments? If you want to play it now, in bug free format, buy the ps4. It's buggy on the xbox, the developers have admitted so, and are working on a fix. But no idea when it'll be sorted.

  big boost cup
Just come across my first couple of bugs
Caterham not selecting 4th gear and
The superkart holding the steering on full lock
Other than that really enjoying the game

At least it sounds like you're all being tested by the game... There's something a little bit unrewarding about games like Forza when you know it's a matter of picking the right car and knowing you've got a win in the bag before the race has even started.

I thought the Clio championship was on the easy side at 80% A.I (90% is pretty tough). Kind wish you could increase the difficulty in 5% increments.
My problem is the inability to be smooth as I said above. Impossible with the controller I find.
