For the past few weeks when up to temp (but not always) and idling at some traffic lights etc it drops quite low, sometimes so its only JUST hanging on and sometimes it'll just cut out.
It also does it worse when manouvering at low speed which I guess is the extra load the PAS system is...
Ok, since changing the steering column a few weeks back (which it didnt need in the end!) the key hasnt quite been behaving correctly.
Basically it doesnt seem to unlock when pushing the key button, but after driving, and getting out, it'll lock most of the time. So I have to unlock it...
I was driving past a garage I pass almost every day, and noticed a clean looking silver Ph1 had appeared on the forecourt so I stopped and asked the dealer about it.
Turns out its got a genuine 27k miles and is in mint condition and all original bar some springs (sensible drop, nothing silly)...
Not seen this posted up on here yet.....If you haven't heard anything about it, its a concept car built to celebrate Aston's Centenary year. Also I have a particular interest as I had a part in making some of it :approve:
So from what I've read the UJ (universal joint) is quite a common thing to get some play/slack in it causing the steering to be a bit unresponsive upon initial transition from left to right. I think I now have this problem.
Everyone seems to only ever mention the UJ at the bottom of the column...
I'm pretty happy with how the Monaco is sitting now, keeping it pretty simple :)
The colour definately comes alive with a good polish and some sun, agree? ;)

I personally think it looks a tad lower than most 1*2's running Sportlines...
Had my tracking and camber setup on Monday ready for a track evening, it handled perfectly and tracked perfectly on and off throttle and when braking.
All evening it was fine, even braking from 110+mph, didnt once squirm badly or kick the rear out....
Now suddenly after refitting the front...
Just been round Snetterton this evening, had an awesome time on track :)
But, Ive noticed I'm getting some serious wear on the outside edges, even the top of the sidewall tbh.
Now I know Snetterton is a fast circuit and can be hard on the N/S front tyre, especially when carrying alot of speed...
Fair few clios on track this evening, mainly 1*2's but a couple of 200's too. Unfortunately didnt get to speak to any of them but had a play on track :)

Been spending the day fitting the new Koni's, solid top mounts, ARB bushes and wishbones today :)

As above, thinking about getting a set of PMS top mounts but cant stretch to the strut brace yet but need to make sure I fit them in the right place so I can add one later if I want to ;) So would need to borrow one to offer it all up!
I noticed my driver's side rear shock had blown about 3months back, oil everywhere, so bought a new pair of cup shocks from an ebay shop (genuine Renault parts).
Upon having the car up on the ramps today to do the rack bushes I noticed the same side shock has once again blown, oil all over it...
Spent a little time on Friday giving me headlights the once over, as they were getting pretty grotty and "cloudy", so here's a few pics :)

I noticed my drivers side xenon comes on but then dims to a dull pinky colour yesterday, it also flickered a couple of times.
