It's a courtesy car, does it really matter that much?!

You wont pay your excess as it wasnt your fault, but you will have to declare that accident when you come to renew your insurance.

I'd have no issue with that personally - so long as that didn't affect my premiums in the forthcoming years. I wouldn't be too surprised if Rob gets penalised though for an accident that he had nothing at all to do with - due to some BS algorithm in an insurance database somewhere...

I'd love to be proven wrong.

Re: Z4 - Perfect No More (But it's being fixed so it's all OK)

Just got my hire car document through, doesn't say what car it is, need to wait for a call for that, it does however show that whatever it is will cost mr ginger £189 a day!

FLOL!

Think yourself lucky my dad got a Kia pride courtesy car once, complete with white wall tyres. It was ace.

It's the S-line, but it's the diesel, if it were the petrol I'd be fine, but diesel? REALLY?

Yes, I realise I'm being a c**t, but I did nothing wrong here, why shouldn't I be?

Am I the only person thinking an A3 TDI would be quite a nice courtesy car?

I'd be well chuffed with that, even if I was still in my Z.

Re: Z4 - Perfect No More (But it's being fixed so it's all OK)

I'd be more than happy with that tbh.

You could have been given plenty worse.

Diesel is better than petrol though.

could be much worse, Chevy Matiz is the general level of courtesy car given... but £189 a day for an A3, not an overinflated cost at all! Especially when you can hire an E-Class/5 Series from Enterprise for the same cost per day...

Yeah, well I've decided I cba with kicking up a fuss, I'm not paying, it's smart enough and it'll be good on the motorway.

The main reason I CBA is because I'm just happy to have a car, it looks proper poser in white, but that's quite fun. LOL

To be fair the bonus of having the diesel is it's going to cost you less to drive it like a c**t for the next however long you have it.

Everyone knows there is NOTHING faster than a courtesy car.

172 > 3 Series Coupe >Z4 > White A3

I see a trend that I'm not sure the ladies will like. ;)

Apparently it shouldn't, I have no doubt that it will, but it shouldn't.

Thankfully it's a year until I re-new.

I can't believe how much they're charging for this a3 FFS!

Audi looks nice.

Someone wrote my girlfriends car off about 6 weeks a go, crashed in to the back of her. They admited full liability and it was all sorted really quickly. Her insurance was up for renewal and a couple of days before the accident her insurance company quoted £320, after the crash they put the quote up to £840 even though she still had her 6 years NCB intact. I couldn't understand it but apparently now you have to declare any accidents you have been involved in regardless of blame. We shopped around and the cheapest we could get it for was £510. But atleast you don't have to worry about that until next year.

I am pretty happy with it TBH (when I wrote the "bloody audi" comment I hadn't seen it yet, my mum had just told me what it was.

I think there's some company's that claim a no fault claim won't affect you, so I plan to get quotes without it, then say I've got it when I phone up, see what they say... lol!

I'll worry about that next year though, I don't know if it's any different because I wasn't even in the car etc? I actually haven't been in an accident, my car has, but I haven't.

Economical courtesy = win. Shred the tyres and still get 40MPG...what's to moan about? Looks pretty good too tbh.

You're just upset you can't enjoy your new car :(

Kev, the company that are doing it won't give me the estimate, said I have to get it off of the insurance.

Insurance are saying it'll take 48 hours before they've got the engineers report so I have to wait.

They'll be collecting the car tomorrow.

You've hit the nail on the head there. I was loving the zed, so much. Bah.
