to be honest i would be expecting renault to tell me what part it needs rather than just clearing it. take it back and tell them to tell you what the problem is and ask them to do it for free.

Ive heard this noise on mine as well but its went away. i also had both belts changed over a few months back and at the same time a canister valve was replaced because of an emissions light.

there are many of clios out there you could have bought with the belts already done for probably the same price. theres no point buying a hot hatchback if youre not prepared to pay the running and maintaining costs.

Ive had both belts changed and it never made a difference. the whine comes on after a certain amount of revs and not just lower speeds or when the steering is turned.
