I got my CV joint replaced on my clio in the past. Can't remember the total cost, but in the few 10's of pounds. I certainly did not replace the whole shaft.
Just to add to the others. You'll be fine. The only thing is the suspensiosn are stiff and that is the only thing that I did not like with the baby in.
I have put the rear facing at the front when alone with the baby, at the back when the wife was there. When you move to forward facing, front...
Marv, that may be the case, I do like the R27 (especially in LY). The 200 is *supposed* to be better. What seems better is the front suspensions which are similar in tech to the R26 and are supposed to limit torque steer. Now that is what I read, I have not tried either.
As for the normal 200...
Hi everyone,
long time I have not posted on the forum. I *may* go back to Renaults soon but I have one requirement: I need 5 seats. From looking at adverts, it looked like the 200 had only 4 seats whereas the 197 has 5. Is this true? also has the R27 got 5 seats too? The other option would be...
Sorry old thread, but I a,m suffering from something that sounds similar. Does in on the straigh ahead, only static or low speed, and more when the car is warm. It is driving me nuts at the moment.
the answer is probably that it depends where you live and want to travel. I have used one (griffin I think) to go to work, it is ok.
We have travelled to Wales with it (not in a Clio), and it was fine all the way, we only retuned once.
As soon as you hit the M25, doesn't work anymore.
Tried...
I had to replace my backbox, using my local machanics. He too told me he had to go to Renault to get the part (apparently no other suppliers).
Can't remember how much I paid for it though.
After 4 sets of GSD3's, I quite fancy trying the PE2's. I have had a quick look through the various thread but could not find the answer.
There are 2 models of PE2, a "normal" one and an XL one. Which one is the one that is normally fitted to the clios?
(I know I have the XL for the GSD3s)...
Can you beat that (1x2 owners) - diesel entry not accepted
I have managed a staggering 51.2mpg on a 76mile trip last saturday.
It is not that I wanted to save fuel, but my backbox fell off and the noise and vibration in the car were unbearable so I drove at a leisurely 50ish mph all the way...
do a search on Pink light rather than orange and HID. Likely to be the bulb going. One of mine is going, awaiting parts at the moment. They are quite a few threads and references to part numbers
It is quite easy to fit. When my climate stopped working, I took it out to check it and it worked so I assumed it was the resistor pack.
The Haynes is fine as a reference, apart from the fact that on the 1x2 you don't need to remove all the wipers as you have on the other models (which is a...
Thanks. It is the passenger side that's dying too. I'll have a look as I don't really fancy removing the bumper (although that wouldn't be the first time)
Foxy, is there a chance you could put the pics back?
Also could you guys elaborate on the not removing the bumper. I looked and it seems very smug in there, could not make out how I could change the bulbs from withing the engine bay
thanks
My symptoms were the same when my resistor pack failed.
Don't know if you can fix them. Easy enough to change but not cheap.
Could also be the fan.
Check the fuses first though, that would be first step
To be honest, it is not worth my stress level. I have had an issue on the cap that goes on the reservoir the first time (my mistake). Once sorted that went kind of ok.
The second time I have changed the fluids, it is the rubber seal on the clean fluid bottle that cuased me a lot of grief. The...
I am looking for a good (yet possibly not too expensive) brake beeding kit.
I have used a eazy bleed before, have had a lot of grief with it (mostly to do with the seal to the brake reservoir) so I do not want to use that again.
I was looking preferably at a vacuum system which sounds a better...
