I saw a full fat 172 leather Xenons normal 172 wheels no cup badges or no cup spoiler etc but it was listed as a cup, Hpid it and said cup aswell?? I found this on 2 172s now? Could be to ringers I guess

I'd say it's fairly normal. My 182 done it when I got it at 39k and still does it at 85k (no worse) My 39k cup also does it.

Power steering pump? Both mine have done it before and after belt changes

Why will it damage the flywheel? Un-even wear? my realease bearings abit noisy and my clutch is stiff, I didn't realise I could damage my fly?

Doubt it's the Pulley.

Both mine have always done this, I brought my 182 on 39k and it did it and it ls now on 80k and still works fine. My cups on 38k and also does it. I wouldnt worry. Someone told me that bleeding the system might help but I don't no if this is true? And I'm not sure how you do this. Cheers Kris

If the timing was out then wouldn't you have the problem all the time? I'd be carfull who you get to "re-time"

Hope some one can give me some clues to this noise. When traveling, usually down the motorway at about 50 to 70mph there is a noise that sounds exactly like a flat spotted tyre, the only thing is if I put the clutch down while going along the noise disappears, and then returns when I bring...

197s are not on a floating system and also more space (apparently) So supposed to be cheaper.

182 is 72k or 5years trophy is the same. Aux belt is 36k or 5 years Not sure on 197, probly similar.

But I don't have second hand ones to wrap lol, im missing one so wondered if carbon ones were a option, didn't realise they were just wrapped originals.
