I have got the clio booked in on monday to change the alternator, but i am sourcing it. I was just wondering, cos my mk1 is a 1.2, if i put a 1.4 alternator on, would it make it any quicker to charge the battery etc. I have upgraded my speakers, but dont have an amp or sub, but i do like having...

Grrrrrr. Just spent all day having quality time with my french machine, changed practically all the fuses, the bulbs, changed the reversing light sensor, rewired about 10 inches, cos the wires going to the switch had been severed. But now i am fresh out of ideas, and still have no reversing...

yeah, thats what I done to. My 6x9s are already connected up and working fine, but I was just wondering about the amp. What kind of amp am I looking for then? Any suggestions of an appropriate amp for my speakers? Have a budget of £100 max for an amp really.

i have recently purchased some vibe Slick 6x9 speakers, the three way ones, they have got 160 rms and 475 max, my headunit is fairly old, and says on it "45w x4" so would I need an amplifier to get the most out of these speakers, as they kick out a little bass, but not as much as I thought they...

Just for peoples reference, autoglym bumper care is the greatest thing ever. My black trim had faded to grey, with the odd wax mark on it, now they are jet black and lovely and clean. Well recommended Cheers guys

Yes, Ive tried loads of different back to black style products, but none of em seem to work, or if they do, they fade away after like a week. I was looking for a more permenant option

On my mk1 clio, all of the exterior black trim is faded and just plain old looking. I look after the paintwork on my car, polishing, waxing and claying, but the trim is letting the side down a bit. Is it easy enough just to spray them black? Do I need to sand them first? or will the paint just...

I have a distinct lack of reversing lights on my car, so I thought fair enough, and changed both the bulbs....... but still no lights! So was told it was a fuse, looked in my fuse box and got quite confused! There is a bunch of symbols there, which one is for the reversing lights? Its a Mk 1...

Thanks for the responses, and I wasnt going to get alloys for it, cos i realise that my car is worth about the same as them! Only thing im really thinking of doing is getting an induction kit, and some seat covers! and making the paint look as good as I can get it for a faded red, 13 year old...
