Put some miles on a clio and see how many trips to the dealer you will take in it. Put plenty more harder driven miles on a Subaru and it will laugh it off. How often do you see a Subaru (unless heavily modified) on a back of a recovery truck? Why do farmers go crazy for foresters? Because they...
Completely baffled why you would want your parents to own a Renault and not a Subaru...... Quicker, infinitely more reliable and comes with a better rep then a clio. Anyways nice car enjoy.
How does different fuel result in engine fatigue? I have basic knowledge of the functions of the ecu/knock/det etc and can't see how 95 Ron can cause these problems. Definitely poor servicing schedules along with bad quality oil could.
I wasn't been negative by my harsh comment (ironic I know) but when you get a few more months/years of running/modifying/gaining ideas about cars you will look at what you have done and regret it. Tbh if you had lowered it with the g60 wheels on it already and then updated us on here with your...
Grow up and stop been needy. Why didn't you save your pennies for suspension and wheels and leave the rattle tins alone. Even if you did get the bonnet smoothed it's still a ph1 1.2 with 3 wheel trims.... Who you trying to fool?
Merry Xmas
Worked at a salvage yard for a few years and I wouldn't trust any "cat" or "non recorded" car as far as I'd throw one. They always look a money earner but in the end always turn out to be a dog. Insurance companies don't employ engineers for nothing who come and look at the car. Get paid out and...
keyboard warriors in full swing with this one. and btw id rather have ANY car that is boosted instead of something that is N/A and has build quality the same as a haiti shack, and this is coming from a clio owner. hope you get things sorted.
Bump, fitted new brake pedal sensor and that hasnt helped. Also left ecu to "reset" if there is such a thing, might try the old battery just incase. Sounds like it could be a ground problem any ideas needed please
Basically fitted a new battery to my mk2 ph2 172 and when I came to start it back up the tachometer needle and numbers lit up but needles are not working on anything. Also my brake lights have stopped working. I've heard leaving the negative lead off for two hours could reset the ecu but Is this...
Why? I just prefer them and have never seen them before on a ph2. would only want to make ph2 lights all reds to get a "smoother" look anyways so got them instead, each to their own suppose.
tbf we cant all drive amazingly clean/ stanced cars but fair play for trying something different. i hate rat style/chavvy cars but this is something different. props to you mate when i first looked at the pictures i laughed. can you get it any lower? its not euro but i hate it when people put...
Driving a small French hatchback isn't the best start off to enjoyable car ownership as it is so making it look even worst is beyond me. On a plus note ratrods are cool as f**k!
I just blip mine Into third and it's fine. Can be a b**ch when cold though. Is there a rebuild with a LSD option anywhere? What's the best LSD for a 172?
wow thankyou for brightening my day, you know what makes your car even quicker then putting a front mounted v6 in it? driving it off a cliff with you in it, now take your utter incompetence away from this thread and put it to some good use, like an audition for the jeremy kyle show. pfftt
Yet again someone posts a "going to be euro but I don't have the money so here's my chavvy fail thread" at least the bonnet is the correct colour but if you saved money on the stupid lights you'd of got the right tyres, and apart from some silly Germans no one puts angel eyes onto a "euro"...
Just a way for people with no money or appreciation for a high standard in bodywork to f**k a car up and claim it's cool, it's like cutting your dick off but just because more then one person will cut his off, thus making it cool.....Get a grip
Maybe not the best driving style on tarmac but gutsy moves on the snow in a ph1 172
