Yes, if you're going down the track sl*g route. If I acquired another set of alloys I'd get them sprayed a wacky bright colour. Bored of silver, black & anthracite now.
If it was me & I was going for the full sleeper look, I wouldn't bother with wheel trims all together!
If you wanted to smarten the steelie's up, give them a coat of satin black maybe?...

They are Apex Springs supplied by K-tec IIRC. I had these for my 1.2 16v & they came in a Apex box & the springs had apex written on them. Have Apex springs on my 182 & they look the same.

Titanium spotted off the college roundabout on Preston road heading away from Asda.
Black/Gold spotted near B&Q/Morrisons heading away from police roundabout.
Both spots around 4.15-4.45pm today

I had this problem, as you suggested for a quick fix put the exhaust mount through the standard rubber hole & then cable tie the other rubber or a socket under it to keep the 'X' in the centre of the mount.
That should bring your exhaust up a tad. Worked for me, but am gonna call in to...
