any clues?
just had a new engine put in. same gearbox etc ...
jsut the speedo isnt working now
anyone got an idea how to fix it or how much it would cost to get someone to fix it???
i coudnt be arsed with the hassell in the end. just got a completely new k4m engine in.
mine knacked up all 16valves and one actually snapped and bent a piston so i just ended up getting a new one in altogether.
not bad for 600 quid all in =)
A short time ago my cambelt snapped as the previous owner told me it had changed but it hadnt. one of the valves has snapped altogether and damaged a piston and it needs a whole new engine. dunno whether to get a 1.6 16v back in again. will a 2.0 16v fit straight in without changing anything...
i wanted a ff 172 aswell so i could put a nice boot install in n stuff ... but a cup was the only decent car that i could find...
ya get what ya can take i spose...
maybe someone will want to swap a cup for a ff 172 one day
bollox to that... lol... oj
the only thing that is worrying me is that it doesnt come with abs apparently??
few times in the past where the abs has saved my ass in the rain
well i have got rid of the 1.6 16v... finished my apprenticeship n thought why not reward myself with a new car...
part ex'd it in for a 172 cup...
pick it up during the week:cool:
cant wait
no its meant to make that noise anyways... its a relay clicking... i was asking if that sounds what the problem might be?? faulty relay or maybe relay not getting power from battery or something
last week my car stopped working when i took my old cd player out... the windows, central locking and the ignition (or it might of been the immobiliser) didnt work so it was undrivable..
i checked the fuse on the battery but it wasnt that,
ive checkked all the fuses and relays down by the side...
u dont press the end of the stalk...
put ur key in and put the ignition on and press the little button that resets ur trip computer ... the little button that sticks out of the display thingy... (cant remember the name atm)
this should tell u how much oil u have...
