just looked over my car and opened the oil filler cap and a there is a strong smell of petrol is this bad

Got it sorted it was the battery that was fooked and making the ECU do crazy things

had the same well sounds the same for about a month and a half changed the battery and it has cured it the old one must have been fooked and not giving out enough volts or somthing like that and making the ecu do funnie things so woth getting it checked out m8

sorry never made it did not want to risk the shed blowing up on me lol, hope i get it sorted before the rr day if i ever find out whats causing it that is (scratches head) i take it lol old school andy never turned up lol;)

had the throttle body took off and cleaned plugs checked too if it was a lamda sensor would it not fail its mot on emisions as just pasted the other week

could having the battery discnected for over an hour have any affect on the car ie the ecu cos the more i think about it the car has been rinning strange since i had the battery off

Car failed its MOT because the back brakes are not working and the garage are running out of ideas cant find why they are not working replaced a few thingsbut no diff has anyone had same prob if so help:(

Has anyone had a super chip re map done if so have they had any problems with there car not running right ie engine managment light coming on going into safe mode and basicley running like a bag o s**t had it checked by a reno specalist and he cant find anything wrong and he says to take it back...
