Righto.

Trade on my 3G 16GB is £200.00 at the recycle my phone places.

I am contracted until August at £45.00 a month.

Reckon I can upgrade and still come out not spending any cash????!

Just called 02 and they'll get a 16GB iPhone 4 to my door the day before the launch date, if it's possible. :approve:

If not, it'll be launch

I don't know why people would bother paying off remainder of contract

16gb iPhone 4 will be £400-450 ish

A decent condition iPhone 3GS 16gb on ebay at the moment is going for £300-350

If you use the £350 to pay your contract off - you'll then have to get another 18 month contract and probably still pay £90 for the phone

Just take the £350 - add £100 of your own money and get one on pay as you go. Throw the pay as you go sim in the bin and put your contract sim in

Job done - then when your current contract ends you can drop onto a pay as you go and save a fortune

I'll do what ever is cheaper, tbh the iPhone tarrifs arent that bad any more, so being on it isn't exactly a bad thing, if the phone is £500 on PAYG, but only £90 on PAYM, then using the money from selling mine screams "buy out your contract and start another one"

I dont mind helping people out if they dont know, but you'd be suprised how many people are just asking left right and centre without reading anything.

I was a good boy last week so she made the chain long enough to reach the spare bedroom.

I am in two minds about this. I have a HTC Desire at the moment as the iPhone bored me after a short while. However the iPhone 4G is on a par with the Desire and has some more features and frankly looks awesome.

The Desires are selling well on Ebay at the moment. Might punt it off now and use one of my old phones and then get one on PAYG and whack in my Orange sim.

Decisions.... I guess if I do not like it I could sell the iPhone and go back to the Desire

I may consider a switch to T-Mobile from o2 if the sim only plans they offer are good.

If they merge cell towers with Orange then the coverage may be very good. Their coverage maps for where I live are encouraging but I've requested a free PAYG sim to test the network before I do anything. Fortunately I'll only ever be on a 30 day contract with any network so I can change whenever I like if they are crap.

Its not the same as 3GPP video calling

Its using VOIP/Streaming video of a MUCH higher quality. Eats bandwidth.

Its not the same as 3GPP video calling

As Tom says, the quality/size of the video will eat bandwidth I'd guess.

Same reason as you can't download massive apps without using WiFi.

Am I right in thinking that you can't use your original sim as the new iphone 4 takes the micro sim???
