there was no time limit on the original question of how much further could the iphone go so why not. most of the points being made can be achieved with software changes, the more interesting stuff will be what they can do when the next hardware change comes along.

my sunflower yellow phase 1 172 will be going up for sale shortly. Very rare colour, 89k miles but mint interior, uprated engine mounts, stainless exhaust, adjustable whiteline anti roll bar, eibach sportline lowering springs will be after offers around £2500

that or a top gear style time attack around a track with the same driver in each turbo, supercharged and itb'd. yeah maybe some differences with suspension setups, tyres etc but would be cool to see how the different engine setups compare

if your looking for a supercharged clio and having it stripped out anyway why not sell up and get a phase 1 172. That way your already 1/2 way to the cost of the SC conversion, can spend that on suspension or a forged engine for silly power.

have you tried brembo high carbon discs and ds2000 pads 1st? just these give really good stopping power, couldnt see anyone needing much more unless you want 4 pots for track use or have a big power clio, anything more for a standard car on the road is prob overkill

i have gone for eibach sportline springs and whiteline adjustable arb for the rear. just the right amount of roll at the front into a corner and nice and stiff at the back makes the turn in pin sharp. Also make sure you have good tyres, these will make a massive difference to how a car corners...
