Renault really went for it with the 172 Cup; all sorts of weight saving. As already mentioned they used lighter cloth seats instead of half leather, lost the air con, lost the spare wheel, removed the ABS, used lighter wheels etc. Even went as far as using thinner (therefore lighter) glass IIRC.

Yeah. 1035kg vs 1021kg. The 172 Cup is 14kg lighter.

Phase 1 steering wheels were leather. The sort of leather which likes to come off onto your hands in warm weather! That's what my old phase 1 was like anyway. :dapprove:

This is what has happened to me. Code worked, accepted, the receipt said I'm going to be charged £4, email says £4, yet they've taken £19 out of my account. Placed my order hours before 10pm yesterday. I've been done it would seem. :dapprove:
