whats your top speed and acceleration

Fair enough. Not sure how you counted 9.9 secs but near enough. You must have a special 1.2 with the 1.6 engine because an induction kit alone will make next to no difference on a 1.2 engine. Will sound a bit better.

It's quite obviously been filmed whilst driving down a hill. Someone with a 1.25 fiesta did it and posted on another forum and claimed his car did 0-60 in 9 secs. Or did he time it whilst the front wheels were lifted off the floor, meh, I can't remember.

Either that or the vid has been speeded up slightly.

Or maybe the induction kit really did gave that 1.2 the extra 30bhp or so it needed, who knows? :rasp:

They are only fooling themselves

  Titanium 182 & 306 Diesel
that was on a flat straight to....

Also timed my 0-60 at 6.7 secs but not accurate...

85mph - beat that!!! Lol, I have a very slow car, hence me getting a clio sport soon!

85mph?! What on earth is it? I once managed to get 100mph out of a 1.0l (3 cylinder ;) ) corsa, needed a long hill though.

:dapprove:

Hyundai Accent 1.3
But me, being a typical girl, am worried about the engine. It probably could go faster but it just really struggles at 85mph so I don't like to push it.

i swear that is just my 1.2 16v mk2 ph2 with an induction kit (pipercross)
and it was on flat ground. dont know any way to prove it except race another 1.2 16v.
i heard that some cars are mapped better than others and i must have been one of the lucky ones!:rasp:

hahaha bull s**t my car with a mega run in engine (120k) cat back exhaust, decat, remap, lightned flywheel and pannel and stripped interior would still only manage about 11.5 seconds to 60 (never bothered to time it thats just a rough guess)

When someone includes, in there conversation, one of there mods being an air filter, in regards to car performance (1.2L) you have to just laugh and say "what a c**t" "grow up" "tool" etc

My 1.2 did about 115 on the clock but 110 was a brick wall really, got to 110 really easily but took an age to get to 115. Incidently the fastest i ve had on the gps is 106, which is what Renault quote for the 1.2 16v.

rolling roads are a load of balls for power figures, ok for before and after figures i had 2 on my 1.2 one was 83bhp which seemed a bit high and the second was 88bhp which is just plain stupid.

i just counted your video and got just over 11 seconds so dont know where your getting 9.9 from?

Once had my 1.4 mk2 Clio at 117mph (speedo reading tho) on the M9. Think it was 10 or 11 secs to 60

"Only" had the CTR at 110

  clio 182
In my old 1.0L C reg Nova I got it to 105 on the clock and I got my old 1.4 escort to around 110 both of them going down hill and both nearly blow-up they didn’t come with rev limiters.

A new 3.5 ton auto Tesco dot com Sprinter van will do 0 to 60 in around 16 seconds. But going from 0 to 40 it can surprise the average family car, especially when they are not expecting it and they never are.

in the 182 I get about 6.8 0 to 60 with two people in, top end I don’t know because I call it a day at a 100mph it not worth the licence.

oooh oooh let me join in...

Clio 182 cup:

0-60 - 6.7ish at a guess

Top speed - Rev limiter in 5thm which was a speedo indicated 152ish mph.

Impreza:

0-60 4.5second

Top speed - backed off due to traffic at a GPS 151mph, but car is good for approx 160ish.

  Breaking A 172 Replica
I've had just over 125 from the 1.2 but it had lower the RR of the tyres was lower than standard and it was down a hill.

With standard wheels on a flat just under 115.

All speeds on the speedo btw.

I've seen 145 on my 182 on a nice stretch in Italy. Quite an improvement over the fiesta I had a month ago though I must say. Still quite gutted that after owning my 182 for a mere month I stacked it into a concrete wall somewhere near Pisa! Quite worried about the fact the esp didnt kick in when I was going sideways though.....

  BLACK 197!!
my mate is a copper and for a laugh one day he got out the speed gun and did some checks on the dualer and clocked me at 215mph.honest!!!!...lol:rasp: :rasp: :rasp:

what exactly is esp going to do if your sliding sideways?

its a case of learning how to control a slide etc, rather than relying on some electrics to get you out of trouble!

Right that makes me sound like a right ass haha, I was going round a blind corner and there was a bloke in a fiat uno in the middle of the road, I swerved to avoid him ended up on some grass with a 30 ft sheer drop a couple of feet away went to steer back onto the road and the grass made me slide, so slid onto the tarmac, by this point i was perpendicular to the road and I smacked into a concrete wall. Bloody Italians, and the f u c k e r drove off and left me!! What a nightmare, at least I got to drive the hills around maranello and do the route napoleon though. I'll post some pics of the car when I can.

  Megane DCi 147bhp/350nwm
1.2 clio = 80seconds to 60mph - topped at 106mph (that was on the tomtom)

old evo - duno bought 0-60 but got it to 155mph then it cuts out

a4 is good for a easy 120 but i aint going faster anymore, too risky now-a-days

  Williams 1
my 1.2 will kick all of your stupid 2 l cars.

You have got to be the biggest dickhead in the world, every time u post something it makes me laugh.

Grow up mate

Oh and my williams will do 137mph but my saxo vtr will do 190 mph cos ive put neon washer jets on it, angel eyes, lex-arse lights and stuck it on 19's oh and i beat a bugatti veyron in it the other nite so im thinking if i get a 1.1 metro it might be even quicker especially with a pipercross induction kit (its the 600bhp+ version found on most 1.2 16v clio's)

  RenaultSport clio 172
Ive had 143mph on the clock in my 172 chasing an M3, never know what the 0-60 time is, prob about ten seconds with my bald front tyres.
