Nice to meet you and your missus to buddy,

Parts were alright, bit of a bas*ard to get the rear left strip off as it was siliconed on :-S

Will upload my pics tomorrow ;-)

  Audi A5
I was going to say a standard air box with a decent or new filter should be your next step I think.

So the RR was a a good day, nice to finally put some faces to names. Unfortunately it wasnt great for the car when it made 151bhp.. although now i have a base line so it'll all be improvements from here on in :)

Yeah was good to meet you and your missus too buddy :) parts were a pain tbh, rear left strip had been half siliconed on so took a bit of force to get off.

Tried to get them all fitted yesterday but one of the exterior handles had also previously been siliconed where the metal clip goes into the rod so that was a PITA but finally get it fitted, still one exterior handle to go as it was too dark/wet to carry on in the end

yes matey, get those pics up ;)

Here you go Barry, looks like we were both pretty similar on the day. again like yours i have no idea when it was last serviced and the belts changed so they will be first on the list.

Yep, funily enough i decided to clean out the K&N yesterday, worst case of dirt and grime ive seen in a filter. Took about 5 rinses to fully clean it untill the water was clear.

Will be getting a standard airbox next month and i may book it in with yourself for that service :)

Anyway here are some pics of the RR day and a mini photoshoot with @Dr Jekyll

Think its safe to say that the filter was a tad dirty!

My rear bumper looks so dented :(

Yeah it was filthy!

I did wonder but it didnt look dented at the time, is it just the colour that does that?

I was a bit hacked off with the new scuff on mine that i noticed Saturday! in fact so much so that if i need to have it resprayed i'll put on the ph2 one ;)

No, a few are like that. Quite common. It's not cracked or anything so getting a hair dryer on it and pushing it from the inside out should sort it.

Now that is GAYYY!

So a small update

Got my Ph2 side strips, exterior and interior handles all fitted at the weekend.
The exterior door handles are a bit of a mare arent they! especially with fat man hands

Looks so much fresher now though :)
Didnt manage to get any pictures as the car needs a clean and the first sunny day his year was spent at the in-laws :(

Also fitted a Pioneer DEH-4500BT HU to the missus' Civic Sport (EP3 shape), that was more of a mission than the door handles on the clio! Although im pretty impressed with the spec of it so ive decided i should get myself one instead of going back to a standard one

Well here are some long awaited pictures of the Ph2 parts on, im 100% certain on leaving the ph1 rear bumper in place now.
Gave the car a quick once over at the jet wash (really need to get it done properly at some point) Got some stickers on, need to fit my RS200 badge and take the tow strap off i think

Anyway went out for a b-road blast on Sunday and stopped by for some pics.. sorry about the quality.. girlfriends camera phone (apprently the best camera on a phone ever)

Also MOT time is coming up soon and i think i have a blowing exhaust, need to sort that out, brakes need sortting but im just going to see what it fails on, cant afford to go replacing stuff that may or may not need doing until i find out for sure :(

Would love to get some bigger profile tyres back on, 45's are just to small for 15's i think. Wheels really need a refurb too! and the amount of chips on the paint work i might as well get a full respray too! mechanical things firth though

Sweet! Glad you came round on the rear bumper. Side strips look ok on the ph1 as it makes it look more modern but the ph2 rear bumper is a bit too much.

Whens the MOT due?

Same Barry. I gave my splitter to Alex as I was unsure but seeing yours makes me want to do it again now! Lol. I probably get another one and go through the motions again!

looking good mate :D

i still haven't got my splitter fitted yet,i'm undecided.

i too am on the lookout for a set of spacers,if i find any deals i will let you know

I really do prefer it with the splitter, finishes off the front bumper just right. i do need to trim it down a bit still but havent got round to it yet

Yeah let me know buddy :)

Yeah i think the ph2 rear bumper will be too much, only just pulls of the ph2 boot hatch imo.

MOT is due towards the end of April :( would have liked to get a full suspension refresh and exhaust fitted before but really not going to happen, got so many other thing to pay for too :(

like above with the spillter, really finishes it off. Get another one, you know you want to ;)

Sooo the MOT has been and gone

Failed badly :(

Exhaust had a couple of holes, Emissions was way out on a reading of over 5% parking brakes low on efficiency and rear shock absorber leaking

All the above has been fixed bar the shock absorber but i'll try and do it one evening this week.

Stealth system purchased from @Budgie
Cat Converter from Mike Woodford
Some partern part rear pads c**till i can afford a full disc and pad set)
Rear shcok absorber from Adam at renault wolverhampton :)

Had majority of the above fitted by a good friend Sid at Ainsworth Engineering who also tightned the handbrake cables along with the pads and ran the brakes tests again and now passes as it should.
After fitting the exhaust system it still wouldnt pass the emissions so Sid poped in a brand new Bosch lamdba sensor, now its well under the 0.3% max for emissions :)
Sid mentioned that it would be over fueling like a B**** which is probably one of the reasons it was so down on power.

Also got my Ph1 airbox and filter from Matt @M.A.C which will be going on tonight.

Hopefully all the above has helpped get some power back that was missing.

Time to recover from all the spending for a while, enjoy it for a bit then finally to get the belts etc done like ive been meaning to

Old exhaust where someone had done a bodge job of welding it up previously!! professional welders would cringe at seeing these up close and personal!

Yeah exhaust is lovely! just need to get the cat fitting kit as the one i had was obivously on its last legs and since being taken apart and used again sounds shite!

Sensor was £74 iirc from ECP, just said to get it from somewhere the quickest so could probabl;y find it cheaper from renault wolverhampton or something

Blow from the Mani to Cat fixed last night. Sounds a whole lot better now :)

Thanks goes out to Bobby. i owe you a few beers or something.

Right new 'to-do' list, seeing as every time i look at the car i add something else to it

Top of the list.....Clean plates!

Belts & dephaser etc
New genuine spark plugs
Front 20mm spacers
Rear 10mm spacers with -1 camber
Front Brembo HC discs and ds2500 pads
Genuine rear disks and pads
Center exhuast mount
Rear exhaust mount
Refurb/paint front & rear calipers silver
Cup spolier
Clear side repeaters
Silver visions all round
Wheel refurb - colour to be be decided as yet.
HID kit
LED bulbs all round
New rear number plate light
Good condition front bumper (mine is broken on the lower slats)
195/50/15 size tyres 45 profile looks far to small in those arches

Things not so high on the priority list at the moment:

Bonnet, wings, both bumpers and roof resprayed.
Coilovers of some kind.

So im getting there slowly..

Vibratechnics mounts along with a polybushed dogbone mount all fitted.
The mounts have helpped no end with confidence in the car, gear changes are nicer, generally driveability of the car has improved too so its all good. Oh and minimal vibrations :)

25mm front spacers on. Looks a whole lot better spaced out now than it did before.

HID lights turned up today so they'll be fitted this evening i think.

So just to keep refreshing my mind what i need to get done and what has been done seeing as its going pretty slowly at the moment.

still to be done:

Belts & dephaser etc

New genuine spark plugs
Rear 10mm spacers with -1 camber
Front Brembo HC discs and ds2500 pads
Genuine rear disks and pads
Center exhuast mount
Rear exhaust mount
Refurb/paint front & rear calipers silver
Cup spolier
Clear side repeaters
Wheel refurb - colour to be be decided as yet.
New rear number plate light
Good condition front bumper (mine is broken on the lower slats)
195/50/15 size tyres 45 profile looks far to small in those arches

Already done:

K-tec Stealth Cat Back
25mm front spacers
Vibratechnics engine and gearbox mount
polybushed dogbone mount
Apex lowering springs (still waiting for cooksports)
Hid Light kit
LED side lights
Silvervisions all round
Skoda Fabia splitter
Clean plates (on order)
Ph2 boot hatch
Ph side strips and bullets
Ph rear lights

Tbh apart from the belts/dephaser, the rest of the to do list is quite cheap.

Don't get cheap "white" full beam lights. I did this to mine and the light output was terrible. I ended up putting standards back in.

I can cut you some metal sleeves to put under your rear exhaust mount to strengthen it if you wanted? I also have a set of front calipers that you could refurbish while you still use your car ;)

Yeah shouldnt cost too much now, apart from belts/dephaser like you say.

Hmmm, not sure i like the yellow look against the 6000k normal beam, use them quite often in the winter round here due to hardly any street lights, but thats ages off yet.

Ooo yeah that would be good! got any pics on the rear mount sleeves? do you mean where the rubber is? And calipers would be awesome, could do it all off the car then, do they all work or are they going to need seals etc?

I know what you mean about the colour. The standard yellow is pants and does look it against the HID's but I'd invest in something like nightbreakers or something. I bought Cree style ones and they made virtually no difference.

The sleeves are a bit of thick gauge metal tubing that I cut about 10mm thick and gets wedged in the lower parts of the mount. Saves using copper tubing or old sockets!

As for the calipers, they are not refurbed. They are off my 172 when I put the refurbed ones on. I have a thread in the for sale section or check my Flickr pics if you wanted to see them.

Ahhh yeah was looking at night breakers for the H7's.

Never heard of that but could be up for that, I was just tempted to get a new mount then fix this one up with powerflex rubber and mod if but what ever is cheapest and simplest really.

Cool, i'l have a look. See what sorta funds I have as I've spent to much already on it this month really.
