Third Time Lucky?

Some of you may remember my past 2 Clios, and that I've not had a brilliant history with them;

So here's hoping that my new Trophy will do me proud.

Picked it up on Sunday, 66k miles, belts just been done, FSH, 3 owners, private plate £3800. Bargain.

Oh, and it has a Yozza too ;)

Needs a few things attending to, like the exhaust mounts sorting and straightening up, tailpipes polishing, debadging/sticker coming off etc.

All in good time...

Jeez. Trophy prices are pathetic now.
I remember thinking after 6 months ''I could actually sell it for what I bought it for''

In that last 3 months they have all lost about £2k. I won't be selling mine ever now, its worth more to me as a car than than cash.

Nice buy btw :)

Sold the Panda last month some time. I still had my insurance policy running so thought I might as well buy a car to put on it :) this is my 7th car in 2 years of driving haha.

They are getting cheap aucky but some people refuse to go cheap so they still are worth a lot more than 'normal' 182's. Think I found it at just the right time tbh, the buyer had just had a baby needed something bigger, so just needed shut.

  Not a 320d
f**k these are cheap. Im sorely tempted to buy one and run it for 6 months to see what the fuss is all about.

Awesome purchase, ive noticed the price of these falling lately since my bro sold his. Low mileage minters still fetch very good money though.

Seems like a really good buy, I assume it is HPI clear? What price was it advertised at?

I prices have dropped as the suspension has started failing.

Bit of a generalisation! Prices have started falling because many of these have had 4/5/6 owners in 5 years and are in awful condition, missing splitters, in one case missing Recaros, modified, Cat. C/D, repainted etc. and no-one wants to pay big money for that together with the "well I can get a 197 for that much" line.
I would have thought the same happened with 5 Turbos, 205 GTIs etc. Give it 4 or 5 years and advertise one with 50/60,000 miles and a nicely documented history and it will sell in a day. What price an original Williams, R5 with a couple of owners and 60,000 on the clock backed up by paperwork?
All such limited cars have a value curve, they're good shortly after launch, they then nosedive as a new model is released, then when everyone realises how good they are prices firm up significantly.
The key is keep it standard and its maintenance history transparent.
I genuinely don't think we will see its like again. Most of the recent "hot" hatches are more like executive cars - bluetooth, auto boxes, leather, 18 inch wheels, no thought to suspension tuning.

Fully HPI clear (cheeky c***s), everything is as it shoud be etc. Belts all just been done :)

It's definitely a Yozza. I've sorted out the tailpipe sagging and am going to give it a good polish over the weekend. It sounds mint!

Saw it on facebook.....not too shabby like.
I go through phases of loving trophys and then dont like them as much!!! least you back in the "clio club" now

They arent generally that cheap, but this bloke (if its the one on cliotrophy.co.uk) was more than desperate for the cash.

Billy bargain.

Sorry should have said cannot believe they can be had so cheap (on occasions). I still see a few on CT.net floating around the 7k marker! :D
