What seats are they?

They are GT3 replica's .. really top quality and super light.. I did get to test for them... but fooked up my measurements so need the mounts re-fab'd.

Thanks for the cool replies! Cant wait to get the rest finished off... with the flooring/seats.. unsure about a black safety devices rear cage? (but wont be happening soon)

I started out wanting to ring out as much power as i could.. but gone for reliabilty over a tyre shredder! and just lightend the car up to under 800kg :) Yet to have it set up on the rollers since the rebuild.. but here are a few of the bits I can think of..

BB Gen 4 T25 Turbo
Braided oil Feed
Forge alloy Intercooler
Forge alloy swirl pot
Forge alloy degassing chamber
Forge alloy Header tank
K-Tec alloy carb plenum
Tiger Zorst
Big turbo downpipe
K&N + OE Airbox
K&N oil breather
Modified Carb
K-tec Uprated Fuel Pump
Uprated alternator
Aquamist 1s kit
Uprated HG
GT Tuning adj. timing sensor
Piper 285 cam (still in box)
K-Tec Charge cooler (still in box)
Cossy Green Induction kit (now removed)
Samco's
Mocal Oil cooler & braided feeds &sandwich plate
Pace racing alloy rad
Low temp thermostat
Incar adj. boost.
New engine rebuild 1 month ago
Using Standard Comp pistons.
Every Nut and bolt either new, polished etc throughout.
Omex Speed system controller (rev limiter/shift light)
SPA remote dual digital gauges (Air charge temp/boost/water/oil)
B&M quickshift
Just running in.

So when she is setup what do you think she will be running?

It was 176bhp last time at 18psi.. a few years ago on worn parts. Possibly 180-190bhp @ 20psi. I think the car weighs around 780kg with the carbon seats and stripped... so the power to weight will be around 230-240bhp.

There are a lot more powerful 5's.. but I want this to last a while :)

Finally got the seats in... they look as well as I hoped for and happy with 'em :) (2nd time lucky with the mounts). The difference from the standard bouncy cotton seats is in a different league now.. :D not sure about harnesses? I know they look cool.. but this will be road use, do I really need them?

I'm going to take a trip to KTec next month and get the engine tuned /set up now its all run in... hope to see a bit more performance up to a tad over the 200bhp mark after speaking to David. I have a new charge cooler kit i got from Ktec a while ago and i'll stick the large green cone on the turbo to suck in a bit more air flow.

Excellent work very clean and tidy. :)

Not keen on the colour (Pearl white or Raider Blue would be my choice) or the wheels or the seats - but that's just personal preference.

I must admit I had Pearl white for a couple of years... (this is my 5th 5gtt) when I polished that thing it sparkled so many colours in the sun.. purples and blues in the paint! people that didnt give a s**t about cars used to just admire that thing. :cool: good call mate :)

This must be the nicest GTT in the world. I've allways admired your car mate. What about a set of turbines for it when you want to go with 15"'s? IMO turbines really suit the 5.

Totally awsome, top marks but mate ditch those mud flaps.

Looks like youve cut some 1995 Mk6 Escort floor mats and stuck them on.

Andy... u got that spot on.. I didnt realise how pants they looked till I took them off last month.. I think it looks a lot better now..

the idea was the protect the paint fron chips...but it looked lame..lol.

I fitted 285mm disks and found the wheels have a strange lip inside like a split wheel.. so had to remove those disks and just waiting to put some others on that should fit better that are anodised silver so will stay looking minty fresh!

Hi dalla.. I hear u... but I like to be different.... Turbines have been done and dusted so many times already. These look much better than the pics can show really tbh.. the polished lip looks good against the black and you then see the polished brakes behind them too, with better brakes going on soon will set them off more.
 
The engine bay is coming along... still plenty to do..lots of changes happening soon... and a silver mesh cone is replacing the green one.
