Project CARS 2

I've also discovered it was on authentic assists, which is no good for me as I am a ham fisted idiot. Going to lower the difficulty of the AI too whilst I'm trying to figure this s**t out. It looks pretty though and runs well

Dug the wheel out.. I think I just can't drive the Clio with the pad or wheel. Do the rear tyres ever actually heat up?

Check the assists arnt on 'Authentic'. For some reason the game has it on as default, meaning Stability control, traction control isnt on etc.

Made a massive difference with the Formula Rookie,as that was spinning out all the time for me aswell.

Also theres a known tyre heating bug that they are patching up,along with the qualy bug.

I completely missed the default 'authentic' settings on assists... No wonder I found the first few laps a little trickier than I expected!

Looks superb on Ultrawide and the controls (PC version with Xbox One game pad) seem much improved out-of-the-box compared to PCars1. I'm hoping to get some time in on this soon, especially as Forza7 hasn't yet convinced me enough that it's worth a purchase.

I've not played this since last week as the bugs online make it pretty much unplayable, I'll await the patch and then give it another go. If no better I'll be jumping ship to GT.

In the Career mode where you unlock the British Classic Showdown in the Supercar Invitational... This is bugged right or is it me? You cannot drive the car down the straight without swerving like crazy, yet the AI can do it with ease?

Wish they'd hurry up with the patch. The Photo mode is great fun though [emoji16]

That's an impressive level of realism. Does the gearbox s**t itself halfway around the track too?

No but it does this

Not played it for couple of weeks and jumped on to do the Cayman Cup. Not sure if it was because I was half cut, or the car but it's a bit of a handful. Had to tweak the suspension a fair bit to stop it from trying to kill me. Also it needs a turbo lol.

So I've been playing this for 2-3 weeks and my thoughts... Really poor!

I mainly play online and it's pretty much unplayable, constantly kicks you out of lobbys, sessions and races, no driving line, constant screen glitches when you can actually get on track.

So disappointed with it, but I know there's a good game in there it's just not accessible online.

Was the first one like this when realised?

Glad I'm holding out for Gran Turismo then....
...although its lack of 90's hatchbacks and 80's JDM curios will still upset me

Can't recall, but not tried anything online yet on PC

I've only put a handful or two of hours into the game so far but I love it - 'feels' much better than the first game (although I'm only playing on Xbox One gamepad). However, I've not ventured online yet so don't know what that experience is like; I've kinda gone off the online thing as I don't have a large enough social group who play online any more and I can't be arsed with all the t**ts that invariably crop up in most lobbies / games. :p

I've started right at the bottom with Formula Rookie and they are a lot of fun. Not enough power to get into big trouble but the racing is close and you need to keep the momentum up. I might try a few online games later to see if I have any connection issues.

Eagerly awaiting the first patch to sort out the Qualfying/Tyre bugs - i cant really continue with career properly with that happening. Pretty disappointing to say i paid £75 for the deluxe version!

Il have to go back to F1 2017 career mode in the meantime, which actually feels like a 'finished' game.

I've now deleted all the data on this and reinstalled, online is much better now, you can actually get into races from the lobby. Unfortunately there's still no racing line and it's still so glitchy when people join a session in progress. Can deal with it for now until the patch comes out.

Still feel disappointed how they've released it the way it is.

I honestly wouldn't bother continuing with Career until the patch comes out as there's a massive tyre issue, especially with the likes of Formula C (if that's the route you're going)

It's a bit disappointing the game has been released with so many problems, it almost seems like it should have been released as an Early Access. But there's so much to love about this game, I can't wait for it to be fully playable.

Cheers for the heads-up mate. I think I hit a bug in qualifying with the Formula Rookie races. It was a wet race, I selected wet tyres... and yet it started me on slicks and wouldn't let me change! I had to restart the game and redo the race (which then worked properly).

And this is why I'm waiting for a "game of the year" pack, with all the bug fixes and DLC for about £20.

That's if I'm not still knee-deep in GranTurismo

Only every decade or so, when a new one comes out.

It is the FIA Standard as well, in fairness, so...yeah, I'll go with the one that'll get me my MSA National-B license

Which car is your favourite? The one that sounds like a leaf blower or the one that sounds like a leaf blower?

I take it you've been to the future and picked up a copy of it already then?
I only got into PC because GT was taking forever.

AI seems a lot more placid in the wet after the patch. Just had a lot of fun in the Cayman at Hockenhein in the wet. With the custom FFB profile you can really feel when the cars about to let go. On the limit for 10 laps was hard work, but super rewarding

f**k me, that last shot is like real life.

I can't wait to pick this up at Xmas!
Yeah, the graphics at times look amazing, especially in the rain. It rapes my Ti, too. I had a frowny face last night when I put up the overlay and saw I was hitting 80fps lows and 43c on the GPU (Sits at 35c mostly). It's Volta time, eh.
