when i put full lock on to the right and start to drive i get a like rumbling noise and feels as if the wheel is wobbling but it does not do this on full lock to the left?what can this be?
only just got my car back from the garage which had a new bog bone fitted and a cam belt changed for £130

ive got this problem too, i dont have to be on full lock though just have to turn to the right.
Could it be the suspension cos the front shocks have only been in for about 1 1/2 months?

I seem to havesomething like this also, and it is proving hard to trace, going to try cv joints and strut tops see if that sorts it, let us know if you have any joy sorting it, I will do likewise

i would suggest getting your cv joints checked out, i had some front end noise which stopped after i had them looked at seems to be a common fault on clios, it happened in my old 1.2.

my mate did a road test with we and said its the wheel bearings that are causing the problem.
now just to get it sorted

Wheel bearings are a favourite to break. Easy to change if you have a press (just changed all 4!!), be wary of the garage wanting to change other stuff as well though - lower arms are a nice earner for the mechanics!!

Well I am still getting the knocking going round right handers, and everybody that has looked at it hasnt sussed it out, including several garages, myself having been working on cars for years) and a pile of expert mates. I was convinced it was engine mounts and changed all three, cars now better alright but the clonking is still there. Every joint has been checked, cvs seem fine and I am still scratching my head. The latest idea is the steering rack from one of my pals, but it doesnt seem to fit in.

Somebody out there must know something, there is a definate pattern developing, everybody seems to have or had this prob.
