1 job at a time
Can you find me the guide for stub axle spacer fitting? I cant see anything lol.x

It's a very simple job that can be made 1000 times harder by rusted, seized bolts that just round. Mine were an absolute c**t to do!

Loosen hub nut, take wheel off, take caliper off, take disc off and you'll see the four bolts that you need to undo. On each side there's four. Three of them are M10s and one of them is an M8. Once off, slap the spacer between hub and beam, do new bolts up, think its 29nm for the M8s and 57nm then put everything back together.

The M10s came off fine for me but the M8s rounded and were an absolute t**t to get off. Took waaaaaaay longer than I anticipated!

Easier still to remove the shock from behind as it gets in the way. It's a ballache if you run a Whiteline ARB though

I have got to it before as i already have 5mm stub axle spacers on so bokts should be nice and easy to get off. Just sure i followed a guide before.
Cheers for the info. Sure i didnt slacken off the shock so might do that this time.

I undid it then pushed it up and onto the beam so it was out of the way and not just dangling there.

Drilled and grooved discs front and rear.

Booked in for aux and Cambelt service next Saturday.

A better Saturday morning than a few weeks ago 😂

Cha ching.

Brakes on mine are superb, well over the past 100 or so miles I’ve used it lol
You running the PBS prorace aswell?

I’ve got to get it booked in for tracking.

I think you sent me an image of how yours was setup a few years ago but can’t find it in messages.
I saved this from another post does this look good for track? And can this be achieved only with camber bolts on the front?

Tbh not sure what mine are.

Also can’t remember the decent set up for track, -1.5 rings a bell.

Can be done with bolts.

Yup pbs

Booked in for a Cambelt, aux and water pump service at Renault four ashes on 24th Feb.

Was hoping to do donington on the 17th with opentrack as camber & combustion have a good discount code for the day but never mind.

Will be booking on to Anglesey for the clio sport festival this weekend. Just debating on whether I camp or not.

Anybody have any input from last year as I am debating booking a hotel for the Friday night, doing track day on the Saturday and then back to the hotel.

Camp!

Or hotel Friday and then camp the Saturday night.

Quite a few stay at the Travelodge/Premier Inn whichever it is in Bangor.
I’m up for camping but because the wife is coming aswell she might want to hotel.

I’ll talk her into camping tbf as it is my birthday weekend aswell.

I still need a camber / toe setup. I’ve got it booked in for this Saturday but not a clue what to tell him to do 😂

The hotel Friday night and camping Saturday sound the better option for her 😂

Is the alignment guy just a kwik fit type or a bit more motorsport?

Just tell him -2.5 degree camber on the front if he can and 1mm total toe out (12mins if he works in degrees/seconds).

He’s meant to be a bit of a legend around here and I’ve had him do my previous clio so he’s pretty nifty.

I don’t think I have any adjustment on the rear so am I looking at 0 toe and camber on the rear and just mess with the front?

Also, I am thinking of booking onto Donny next weekend but need to get the gearbox oil changed.
I would normally use the elf stuff but euroCP don’t stock and was hoping to do this Saturday.

Is there anything off the shelf that lives up to track abuse?

Yeah can't do anything with the rear unless you start playing around using shims from Pure Motorsport, so the rear will be what it is.

Don't know of any off the shelf oils that are suitable.

You could try ordering from Opie Oils and see if they do next day delivery, will be here for the weekend then.

Sweet.

I’ll order that now.

3.1 litres I believe?

Today I fitted the bonnet catches I have had lying around.

Most time consuming job ever and a complete ball ache to line up but got there in the end.

Also changed gearbox oil.
@JamesBryan correct as usual. 2.8 litres until it levelled.

Old oil that came out wasn’t bad and no swarf so happy days.

Today is belts day.

Just had a phone call to ask if it had been cammed as the timing was miles out.

never trust anyone who says belts have been done by a specialist before 😂

Should go better when it's back. Winner.
Yeah that’s what I’m hoping.

I mean.. it didn’t go bad anyway but I did say to my mate who’s got my old clio that it didn’t feel as nippy.

Wasn’t fun at 7am this morning in the frost with no heaters, carpets or comfy seats.
