Fallout : New Vegas

I've not really had bugs, only had 2 crashes too. It is a bit jerky though, sometimes just stops and starts again making me think it's frozen. Totally forgiveable though as it's just so vast.

Finished this last night after 102 hours, and my main thought was disapointment.
I'll try not to give away too many spoilers, but I tried to side with the NCR, but because of a bug I couldnt go any further with one of the quests (couldn't get a NPC to talk to me/give me correct dialogue) so ended up going independent.

It is a very good game, I loved everything apart from the main quest line!!! It was too muddled, I never really had a clue who I was doing stuff for, as there was the same objective in different quests. Oh, and by the time I'd got all the cool weapons I was level 30 and had already killed most of the hard stuff!

My favorite weapons: AM rifle, Sniper with carbon parts and Silencer, Balistic fist (ace!), Diana, Mercy, Ratcatcher (very good early in game), This Machine, Brush Gun. Together with power armour and Boone, I'm unstoppable

I'll keep this for the time being and wait for DLC expansions now....

im about level 24

i simply got bored of doing quests for people and being faithful to all... so i ended up just killing everything i come accross

NCR all dead, brotherhood all dead, caesars people all dead, khans all dead.

good fun, now im bored again and exploring lol

have built up a fists * knives character, worried that I'll be setting myself up for a hard ride, at least this time I'm not doing "hardcore" mode.....which wasn't even all that hard!

Anyone any ideas why even though I have 100 lockpick i can't open snipers nest box, there is a "-" by my lockpick skill for some reason, even If i take all equipment etc off? no idea why? i'm not addicted to anything or irradiated or anything like that

Started again on Sunday, trying to build a character focusing on Guns this time, first play through I built quite an even character but in my experience the energy weapons just don't make it worth it in New Vegas. Also chosen the Wild Wasteland option to see what else it brings up

Just done the REPCONN mission with the rockets. I've found a computer with a password for an old generator room turned into a storeroom. Anyone know where this is? Only place I havent been back into is the basement.

Also, the two buildings outside the RECONN building, either side of the rocket launch dome, can you get to these? I cant seem to find a way to them.

I've just cleared out the NCR prison. In one building Boone killed someone and it said Quest Failed, even though I wasn't on one. Have I made a whoopsie? I can go back to a past save point and go elsewhere.

I picked this up last night at asda for £20... beginning to think I should have just spent the money on beer. Seriously disappointed with it.
The game play seems awful, graphically its not what I was hoping really, the controls are terrible. Basically, I think its s**t. Can anyone convince me to keep this and carry on? Does it get good?

I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one, I found myself wandering around more without really knowing what to do. I do however think its much harder for a sequel to appear as good as the first, Forza 2 (I didn't play the first) I f**king loved, but tbh Forza 3 I haven't played anywhere near as much even though in many ways it's better.

Good luck! I completed the main story in F3 a week before FNV. Then rushed a couple of DLC. Never finished Point Lookout. Haven't played it since GT5 though, will have to devote time over Christmas!

Finally got mine for Xmas so have been whazzing the last few days. Liking it so far. Haven't done many quests..just been to the rocket facility (with the nightkins!) and am in the process of doing the final bits of that quest..anything I need to be aware of in the first few parts?? IE things that I can pick up to help in future??

Finally got back into it over the past couple of days, and I'm trying to like it as much as I did with Fallout3 - but I just can't. Unfortunately, with its now dated(ish) looking graphics and the fact its riddled with bugs; it just doesn't hold a candle to 3.
Which is a huge disappointment, as Fallout 3 was the definition of epic.

Anyway, that said..

I'm at the bit where you can either disable or kill Mr. House. I unlock the hidden door with the terminal under the stairs, but all the securitrons just go mental and blow me up. I don't stand a chance. I have pooey guns.

I was out wandering the wilderness and came across some mole rats near one of their holes. So I climbed on top of the mound and went into VATS to smash its head in. Came out of vats and I was inside the mound . No where to move, not able to do anything. I could look at the tunnel and a pop action came up "inaccessible tunnel".

No s**t! Got out of it by saving the game and reloading and it dropped me on top of the mound. Thank f**k for that!

Got Boone and the robbo dog following me. Just done the dogs brain transplant and the Jacobstown bit. Now back at the strip and just been done over by the chequered suit man

Im probably gonna replay this once ive finished. I killed MR House and have put the yes man in charge. Now helping the Bos out. Although when I first went to them I had to take out the Ranger guy..Some random NCR troops came to "warn" me I have 3 days to up my fame or wahtever with them. Then went back up to the strip and put Yes Man in charge and now I dont have any fame etc with either the NCR/Legion etc.


Tell you what though that LEgio camp was an arse..I just left Boone and Rex in there,,let me get knocked unconscious and went in..Popped a few leion people..legged it back otu..(repeated etc). Took me about an hour to kill everyone in that camp!

Got right back into this after not playing for a couple of months. Loving it again and I've got shitloads left to do. Just got Lily as a companion as was getting bored with Boone.

I could do with getting back on this. I stopped playing because I knew I'd never get off the damn thing. In that time I've played loads more BC2, finished Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and on my second playthrough of Dead Space 2.

Was on level 23 I think on FNV.

Think I just hit 23. Got the Remnant armour from the Deathclaw place, that was rock hard. Can't seem to trigger the power armour traing from Macnamara though, t**t. Just at Hoover dam after installing Yes man at 38.

there wasw so much talk about what had been done to improve the game over FO3, and most of it was true.

but it just isn't as smack-in-the-face different as 3 was (compared to the first two).

The story is great and all that, but it's so biased towards making you be a good guy it makes half of the faction business pointless.
