Does it feel fast?

Lots of people make the generic “sounds good, doesn’t go very well” which I think must be a load of BS..

Didn't properly open it up, but it was nippy enough. 250bhp in a small car like that feels fast.

These aren't bad, looks well.

It's not so much BS it's just subjective. Driven one a few years ago and it felt pokey enough, not slow! I love the interior in these lol.

Was speaking to a guy a week or two ago who had a 370Z Nismo as a hire car till his 700BHP GTR was fixed and he called it 'nippy'. All relative lol

Manual is the correct choice but DSG is good. The mechatronic units can fail but not as common as you're led to believe. It's cheap to fix nowadays anyway. As is the dash when it fails.

Good stuff. The 3.2s do sounds lovely and with the manual box, ~250bhp of NA goodness is a lot of fun.

That said, a good whack more with a turbo is even more enjoyable, if you've a penchant for speed and a few grand burning a hole in your pocket ?

That looks good mate, has the E91 gone then?

Hopefully tomorrow, but he is grumbling about an ever so slight little rattle somewhere in the back. On a 2 grand car. That's done 244k. And you can't hear it with the radio on.

Will poke holes in anything, I hate selling cars! If you have any bits for sale from it give me a shout, mines on 193K now and needs to live for 18 months or so.

Looks smart, how are you finding it?

When I did my “Tee” mod I used a small dowel so I could effectively use it as a join to plug it back in the other side. Worked perfectly until I decided to change it back as it droned too much on the motorway.

I can see why they are popular, but the TT's do nothing at all for me unfortunately. I don't think the Mk.1s have aged particularly well either - especially when you look at the panel lines from the profile view and they appear to have been designed by twenty different teams. All looks awkward to me.

That said, how many 3.2 V6 cars could be nudging quarter-of-a-million mileage and still be running well?

I have to agree with @TomSx about the alloys too - his looked MUCH better.

Someone round my mum & dads way had a black & red one ages ago, I think from new. It was immaculate, but kind of looked like a massive ladybird ?

Why did you sell it? They're special I don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh.

Mainly as my old man has a back problem and couldn’t get in to the buckets. I should have just bought a banger to run along side In hind sight now the prices have rocketed.

Pulled the door cards off lastnight to swap the shitty standard speakers to my DB components, only to find the OEMs are held on with some weird 3 pin spacer, not a standard 4 hole screw type thing. b****cks. So the MDF rings have been binned and I will have to jigsaw some fresh ones out later. Suprised just how easy the card comes off though. A singular T30 bolt and pull it up.

Put a set of new discs and pads on the front at weekend. My GOD they weigh a tonne!!

Bit of an update, managed to get my speakers mounted to some baffles and then onto the card, they sound a little better

Needs tidying up and the false floor fitting. Gave it a wash today and as the rain held off, nipped into Manchester centre for a few pics

  Seat Leon Cupra R
Great photos.

Front end is crying out for a small lip of some sort though. Something in black would balance well with the rear spoiler - carbon would be lovely, though a few scuffs would be expensive to sort vs plastic/etc.

Looks great. I think they have aged excepionally well. The lines on them look lovely and quite agressive.

Great colour choice too as you can distinguish the gills and grills nicely.

Leon Cupra R splitter. Used to be £15, now rocketed to £50. Bellends.

Love it. Gally had the LCR splitter on his IIRC. I prefer them just as they are to be honest.

Are you going to drop it at all?
