Sooooo the original exhaust on the ph1 172 has finally gone :p :D
I want to keep it as standard as possible, but the original exhausts weren't really built to last - granted mine did but from what i'm reading otherwise. I don't want extra noise from the back.
What should I be looking at? How...
Yeah fairly sure its titanium then :) Pics here though:

Weird how I dont have any identifying stickers on it though? Why would they have been...
This might be one for MT_Audio or anyone else who's in first.
Headunit is great, i obviously just want the stalk controls to work as they should.
Looking at getting either the connects2 or autoleads equiv if there is one.
I have two choices though:
Clio
2000
2005
VDO Tuner List (with...
I have a Ph1 172, which doesnt have any inkling of stickers anywhere to discern what colour silver it is. I need to buy a new bumper soon, because the one on this is clearly a cheap copy, and its falling apart. But i'll need it sprayed!
So titanium or iceberg? How can i tell? I'm...
Yep, looking around £60 as i thought straight from Renault, with the "new" loom (what is new about it, it uses the same existing cables, they just changed the connector shape!?!
Anyway, spotted this with 2 days to go on ebay, £20 seems worth a punt, it the blue plug, and has loom, so seems...
Having classic starting problems, what's the part number for the "new" TDC sensor, although i'm presuming I probably can't even get hold of the old style one now?
As far as i can see its a case of airbox out, fiddle, unbolt, new one needs soldering in because the loom has changed, but that's...
Potentially faulty crankshaft sensor. I've had my 172 not start totally randomly once, and i think it was this. When i get a chance i'll be having mine out and cleaning, and ordering the "updated" renault part (i'm fairly certain mine is still original) and fitting that as its much more...
I know :) I just wanted to actually see/buy it in person first save the hassle if delivery and return... Halfords would have done fine if they had it in stock and now at a sensible price!
Wow, well I did go to buy this but they didn't have it physically in stock in the end so I left it at that because I was at my parents in Liverpool for only a few days. Just thought about checking again now I'm back in Edinburgh and the price at Halfords has doubled! More like what I expected :p
Two new seats bought and installed today :D Driver side works perfect now, well I think, the seat appears to go all the way back once you;ve let someone in. Not sure i thats right or now yet... :D
Passenger side works but its tight moving on the rails, BUT it actually works, so i'm leaving it...
Ok it was so I could wire my new ph2 seats back up half decent (bare wires for just about everything), I might just bolt them in and head a scrappy in Edinburgh when i'm back and wire on the street won't really be too much of an issue. Deal with the airbag sign and no pre-tensioners on the way...
Right ok, a little bit of clarification, I'm actually right this very second in the outskirts of Liverpool and the scrap yards around here are ****. If i was in Edinburgh there are actually loads of decent scrappies around, last time I was at one in loan head i think I was pretty much left to...
I knooooow i could go to scrap yard tomorrow but its hassle around here, there aren't many close that will actually let me in properly... I only want a few so I just thought buying them would be fine for now.... I really didn't want to have to online order, anywhere I can walk in and pick up...
What the **** am I searching for, my google-fu is weak. Doing a bit of wiring and want something that after installed is easy and quick to connect and disconnect, so something similar to the exisiting connectors on the loom on the car... Can I buy these from screwfix/maplin? If so what are...
Both front seats are causing me headaches, although all been told they were like this when I bought this (minor wreck) Ph1... I'm starting to wonder why I bothered at times! :p
Both seats rail handle adjustment thingys were off.... good start, so i'd hoped just refitting them might mean I get...
Bugger it gonna go out to halfords today and just buy it, seems alright and I really need a headunit no more waiting around! Halfords have it surprisingly cheap in comparison to online retailers (a first!)

Something like that?!
Been done to death i'm sure... So basically i'm after a steering stalk compatible headunit with my ph1 172, not really worried about pod compatibility (thankfully :p)
Rough requirements are:
DAB (if its any good; ideally i'd like 1xtra :p)
Some kind of bluetooth hands free compatibility...
Yeah I got the impression that it's a nice thing for him to be involved in, like he doesn't wanna see them all go to rack and ruin...
Unsure if the mileage is truly legit, but the last 3 MOT's seem to say so. The car has been pretty much abandoned by most terms. Wasn't MOT'd for the last year...
