ha ha ha ha ha ha ha just read this thread, 144db from 2 pioneer subs (sealed?) and one amp? yeah right!
i got 136db with one 12" power rockford fosgate sub in a ported box tuned at 36hz, being fed about 1kw! tested at mean street.
SPL mics only pick up to about 80hz IIRC.
dont mean to be...
these are badboy, ultimate SQ with a slight ability to go loud,
im picking up a second hand aliante 10 at the weekend for my install in my 200sx, cant wait, I have heard plenty and they are amazing, ive wanted on for ages!
theres one for sale in the talk audio classifieds at the moment.
I got a concept 300 done on my polo with full closure for £300.
I had about £1200 worth of audio equipment in there a while back (none now), and never had any concerns with leaving it.
the full closure really set my mind at rest when thinking, did I shut the window/sunroof!!
could you stretch a bit? http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3019http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3019
would sound awesome from an audison amplifier :)
do you mind buying second hand...
I could fit it for you for a lot less than £140, im in south east london (bromley)
PM if your interested.
Should take a couple of hours I would have thought! Im sure you dont need to take the dash off to connect the stalk controller, thats only for the display adaptor I think.
12v = engine off
14.4v = engine running
although, you will very rarely get those voltages with standard wiring etc.
Like Brun has done, you will need to upgrade the stock wiring. I am about to do the battery to chassis, alternator to battery, and engine to chassis to the 4awg that I am...
heard some very bad things, but never used them myself.
EDIT: I remember seeing something on vibes website saying that they were not official distributors for vibe products

IIRC monza plays MP3 but doesnt have face off.
mexico pro is what I have, and I think has better SQ etc than the monza.
Oops, just checked, on the new models, the mexico pro plays mp3s aswell, but has higher voltage pre-outs i think. mexico pro has front, rear and sub, monza only has front...
yeah, sorry forgot to add that, theres going to be laser cut/etched perspex over the amp, and a pair of fans either side when I get around to it!
Rorrie, yep, Tejs old sub, sold the 10W6v2 as I couldnt afford to buy another to work my sub channel at 1ohm!

JL arent the BEST you can buy, but they are very good for the money.
If you wanna spend mega bucks, there are plenty of other top brands, depends what you want really!

have you ever seen a batcap in action? they are really impressive, im with rorrie on this one, power caps are a waste of time.
