Hi all got an issue with my 172 cup, been running perfectly fine used everyday etc. Got to work Thursday morning as normal left the car over night as I took works van home, went out aftet work Friday put key in ignition and got the dreaded solid red light? Car won't even crank over or do...
hi all after getting rid of my old cup ive just bough a phase 1 172 for track use, now it needs a new drivers door so what i wanted to know is
are both phase 1 and phase 2 iceberg silver sports actually the same colour code? and are the doors the same.

right my 172 cup used to rev to about 7.4 rpm and now it seems to have lost some revs :S hitting the limit at 6.8 rpm now, anybody got any ideas as to why its doing this now?

the last dew days my trip computer in the 172 resets its self everytime you turn the car off,and now today i went to work in it moved it after work to park my van then 25 mins later went to go home and battery dead? bumped the car off drove home turned it off and dead again.
just wondered if...
just fitted one of my bucket seats and harness just wondering where is the best place to mount the harness on the inside (nearest to handbrake) will i be better off just drilling a hole in the floor?

hello all i need a n/s drive shaft for my cup ive removed old one and it looks like its just had a standard 172 shaft as its got the abs ring on it, now my problem is ive been and got a shaft from a local breakers who guarantee me its from a 172 :eek:
Im not 100% sure if you look at the pic...
Since i fitted my omp rear strut brace to the 172 it squeakes like mad when
driving? But when stationary and you grab hold of it nothing,will it just be
where the cup things of the brace go over the rubber on the shocks?

hi all ive just bought some cobra seats and sidemounts for the cup,but what im wondering is there anyway to use the original seat runners etc to fit o the sidemounts?

I decided to whip the box out on sunday with the help of my dad,quite an easy job tbh after being told there a nightmare :cool: and this is what we found!!!!!!!
Its safe to say its pretty damm fooked lol cant believe the car still actually drove ok.
as above are they any different? would i benefit ftom fitting a 182 inlet to my 172 cup? or would i be just better off getting my inlet matched?

Hello all we just done our first trackday in the 172 cup all is fine apart from the clutch, its developed a strange grinding squealing sort of noise and smeels like hell when you put it in gear and let the clutch out? once in gear it drives fine and all gears are fine as we finished the full day...
howdy clio sporters, ive just purchased a 52 plate 172 cup it will mainly be used for track use etc as ive got a 480hp sapphire cosworth as my main toy but will probs brake on track :rasp:,only had the clio since last night and love it already.
