Steering wheel all straight now :) Took off the whole column. It comes free by just removing 4 x 13MM bolts.

I've checked the top mounts and they seem nice a tight. I will double check the ARB this weekend when I get it up on some stands.

Would the column alignment cause knowcking though?

Nop, I followed the guide on the forum to remove the engine and it didn't mention anything regarding the power steering. The column slide out when taking the engine bay appart because the sub frame was dropped. Its weird, Also, is there any way of just pulling the whole steering column appart...

Mine did this after i changed engine mounts. Turned out it was the connectors in the column. I could feel them if i slipped my hand in the top. Try pushing hand in there and squeexing them with finger tips. It stopped mine.

Thank you i have found the guide aswell. How heavy is the GEarbox in terms of KG? And how hjeavy is the Engine in KG?

No one? I have spent hours researching and no one seems to have a guide saying how to do it without removing the engine... Looks like the Engine is coming out.

Ive been looking everywhere and i cant find a simple removal guide for the gearbox, i need to know: Can the engine remain in the car when removing the gearbox Is it best to take out from top or bottom? Any advice is helpful please.

You said it doesn't matter if you mix the leads up? Does this mean it fires going up and down??? Cheers

Mine has just gone at 36K, the syncro has gone i think, i cant select second or shift down to second when hammering it. It just grinds. Going for a rebuild this weekend, been quoted 250

It kinda works a little now, but selecting down grinds. I can select the gear but sometimes it pops out. Mike, do you guys do rebuilds?

Ill econd engine mounts, mine were shot really bad, split, and when accellerating the MAnifold rubbing on the body was extreme. Also, when stearing right whilst accellerating it would cause rub and vibrations. Uprated engine mounts fixed the problem and were easy to fit.

I am fitting my mounts over the weekend.

Sorry dude, i went santapod last weekend, fucked my engine mounts heating tyres for the run! On the top side i beat a Clio 200, lost against a V6 Golf, beat a random car. Got a 15.2 second run in -2 weather :) We should go to the POD next meet?
