    172 brakes on dci

I have a Clio DCI and it needs brakes. I am also braking a Clio 172 with good brakes, I was just wondering if they would swap over. Thinking of putting rear beam off the 172 on to the DCI too, as that has good brakes ect and the wider track. Thanks Gaz

    Black 1.2 Staffordshire

Spotted at 22:35 in Cannock, it was a 5 door, standard. Driver was female late 40's. I flashed and waved, but I was in a astra so didn't wave back. Car looked pretty fresh, bar side light out and dent in rear ¼. Any body on here?

How do people do it (gross content)

Bought a cheap daily DCI with the sales man saying it needed a clean, thought yeah needs a wipe and hoover. I always keep my cars clean (very clean) but this is a polar opposite! The sales man must of sprayed it with something, as the days went on the smell got worse and worse. It got so bad I...

    Project DCI 100

Bought this as a daily hack, but after 200 miles I feel its too good to drive in to the ground. Thought I'd do a thread as I hope it to be a bit different from a cup track car lol. Plans are to tidy up and just get it looking better without going ott. The cars engine is sweet, just going to...

    Bought a daily

I bought myself a daily today to get me mobile while I finish my 172. Managed to find a fairly tidy 100bhp DCI Clio, and I must say I'm really impressed! Really quiet to drive, even outside the car its quiet and I can't believe how nippy it is lol. Really surprised me, thought it was going to be...

    Spark plug banter

OK so just been looking at spark plugs and found myself looking at expensive ngk ones, which goes against everything I've ever said. Surely in a 160bhp car a spark plug is a spark plug???? I know in higher power forced induction cars a good spark plug us essential. Any body using cheap Bosch...

    OK new question

As a daily what would you prefer, a mint flame red DCI rep or a mint flame red 172? I think I would enjoy the rep for the eco cost but find it boring. Flip side again is that I have 9 points so I should slow down anyway. Value wise a mint DCI rep seems to be worth similar money to 172. I know...

Hi guys just after a bit of advice, I want a car for work, something cheap and economical. So DCI Clio's seem to be a good choice. There are a few local to me which I'm going to go look at. I want to know if they are any good, as economical as folk say they are and what to look out for when...

    182 manifold on 172

Ok now before folk start moaning, yes its another 182 manifold thread lol. Basically I've done my research and I know there are little gains and lose a bit top end. My engines out so fitting isn't a problem. All I'm after is folk that have actually done the changed and what their feedback is...

    The daily flame project

I'll start of by saying I come from the retro ford scene and even my 172 is a bit modern for me lol. The plans are to get it to a really clean tidy example, keeping all the Luxury's and adding some while at the same time improving handling. The car will be used for a daily commuter to work and...

I've had my Clio a while now (not working) finally decided to sort it out. Ok so from square one. I bought the car and when I got home it lost drive, made a grunching noise like it wasn't in gear. Also noticed when I changed gear one of the times on the way home my clutch pedal stuck to the...

    nothing seems straight forward.

OK, so I thought I would take my engine out this weekend. So gave myself a couple of hours to strip front end and drain fluids, easy doable. Then both the captive nuts holding bumper to wing had snapped, which took ages on there own. Everything else went fine until I come to drain coolant, some...
