Morning all
Has anyone got any experience of what to get?
I've seen these and they'll stick a recaro logo on for another £5 quid but I think they're expensive for what they are and I will be a bit annoyed if they're not 'custom fit' and are just a standard type seat cover but a bit bigger to...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
How much can I expect for breaking a 172 privately
Erm - its a Phase 1 172 standard car on standard OZ F1's good condition generally in silver.
Can anyone give me a list of what the bits are likely to go for:
Wheels
Engine
Box
Shell with ID and glass...
Re: PH1 172 Alarm removal - update - DONE!!
Right ho..
Update - and hopefully help fellow clio sport members out if they search for it.
How to remove/disable the alarm.
Disconnect battery - leave for 20 mins to let everything discharge and make systems safe to work on.
Remove the dash...
Morning all..
First post in a while as I dont own a clio anymore, my brother does though and he's having alarm probs.
Had a little search and worked out whats wrong - alarm seems fubar'd, which seems common as they're crap.
Basically as soon as you click the fob to open the doors it just...
Appreciate what you're saying but I simply dont have the time at the moment as I am working full time and renovating a house full time.... you see the problem lol.
Luckily my new house has a double garage with nothing sitting in it at the mo so worst comes to the worst and the clio will sit...
Let me know how much and if you can take card.... cash will be fine but I'd prefer card at the mo.
If she doesn't sell I'll have the bits, fix it, mot it and sell it.

Fred- I know you looked at the car before- can it be done simply on my drive without any special tools and without having to do any timing.
I can remove the bumper etc and I am a pretty competant mechanic just dont do cam belts on 16v's... too lazy to learn and be bothered due to timing em up...
Hi All....
A few days ago I started to hear a metal on metal noise on my car.
Upon inspection it appears to be the pully right at the bottom of the Aux belt.
Those familiar with the accesories belt tensioning guide - its Pully F.
I have put the car up for sale due to this problem,- no...
No mate, I brought it like this and have done the track day since.
I'm really not arsed in the slightest I just want to know what it is and get it fixed.
Sounds like power steering pump on mine if I honest... and she did a track day at donno the other week and prob 1000 miles with me at the wheel now and it hasn't got any worse or owt.
I am just pissed off with the noise.

Right...
2 questions....
I have a whining noise from the engine, seems to be coming from front left looking at the engine bay... doesn't really go away... doesn't seem to be causing any problems...
Its engine/belt related- is power steering pump there?? a problem?? known issues...
I paid £101.05 delivered from Ktec- I think the blues are another £50 odd...
I have found NO extra noise what so ever- NONE at all.. Nothing... (not to disagree Mark)
Noticed plenty of carbon deposit on the wheels like... brake discs look fine and I've done about 150 odd miles driving about...
Yes lads.... I'll be there booked on all day- no passenger rides though as I already have a mate and little bro in tow and it wouldn't be fair on their £20's..
I'm on for full noise day on 29th dec too...
Silver PH1 172- be on OZ's.. in Novice - which may have been a mistake now its wet.

Fitted my CL's yesterday, standard used discs....

Very impressive bit of kit... I feel that with the nackatwang ditch finders on the road wheels the car is now seriously over braked...
Roll on Donnington this coming sunday- where it will no doubt rain and the car will still...

Broke a bleed nipple off my on my PH1 172 on the front caliper... anyone know where to get replacements and know what they are without having to take the broke one in?
