I did once get 420 miles out of a tank but it was really boring. Have you done the exhaust flap mod to keep it open all the time? Sounds much better with it done.

I get around 26-28 mpg in my 330ci. But then you shouldn't really own a car with a 3lt petrol engine if you're bothered about economy.

The car is currently at my work so can't have a look to work out what's been removed. Would have been slightly embarrassing if I asked the aircon guy, who came to my workplace recently to do some other cars, give mine a regas!

Hi guys On my recently purchased clio 172 (with climate control aircon) there is a metal rectangular bracket on the firewall with nothing going into it. Its what I've highlighted in this picture..... I'm guessing its something to do with the aircon? Mine also doesn't have a metal pipe...

The latest update is that the car has been fine for the last 4 days. No battery light at all. I still suspect the alternator so if it comes back on I will be swapping it out. These french cars certainly keep you on your toes with their intermittent faults!

I have no resistance from the alternator casing to the battery neg so presume its earthed ok. New alternator I guess!

Bit of a strange one. I recently had a new waterpump fitted due to the old one leaking. A few days later the car cut out. The plastic fuel connector near the oil cap had came off. Leaking fuel everywhere including on the alternator. I didn't think this would cause too much of an issue as fuel...

Hi again. Went to view the car and bought it. It has a few little issues but nothing major. It certainly shifts well and handles great with eibachs and adjustable koni dampers. I will get some proper pictures up shortly!

Thanks for the welcome guys. Ive driven a few and they were ok but slightly underwhelming. The seller said the belts and dephaser were done at jabbasport also. As with most people buying cars I just dont want to end up with moneypit but thats a gamble you have to take!
