Here are some pics of Porkie's clio after his borther in law had it cleaned for him cause he used it at a trackday and didnt want to give it back to him dirty:

Lee got plenty of comments about how good the car looked after it was cleaned etc from those pics (including one from me, lol)

Guess where it went for this epic detail?

6 quid kosovan car wash, lol

Im sure they used sponges that had been on the floor, knackered old chamois etc

So compared to that, this guy has provided a much higher standard of car care so would be fair to say he isnt just doing a quick cheap wash in ten mins like those guys, he takes him time and spends an hour or two and does it properly, cause to most people spending an hour cleaning a car is a long time if they are used to 3 kosovan immigrants doing the job in literally sub 5 mins start to finish.

I've tried re-reading it apart from his last mega multi-quote and i'm still at a loss.

He could literally drag the fun out of a threesome with 2 19 year old Swedish models

fcuk me chip you could have arguement with a corpse. No wonder you got banned.

Yeah course it looks clean, but what those photos don't show are the swirl marks inflicted by said kosovans.

No was replying to scrooge where he said he thought an hour was quick to clean a car, and showing what some kosovan's do in literally just a few minutes.

Even my pre detailing days, an hour is quick to clean and dry a car properly not to mention clay ing and polishing etc the valeter did in this thread.

Indeed, thats the point, that people saying the guy who did the OP's car shouldnt use terms like "Valet" or "Detail" etc are missing that to most people he is such a step up from the local "hand car wash" its a fair sort of term for him to be using.

I have no idea why you (Chip) think the above photos put any weight to your argument. Heavily edited and the first one shows very dirty wheels?

Because that is what a "clean" car is to the normal man in the street.

Some of you detailing lads seem to have forgotten what the average joe thinks is clean or not.

My neighbours are Joe and Jo Average. They have more money than most of Cheshire put together. But after correcting a few of their cars, he now goes out and washes it himself to keep it in that condition.

Even the cake faced receptionist at the Aston dealership I pitched for business at 17 could see the difference. So I'm not sure of your point? The pictures you've posted are not clean. In my eyes or the half blind...

Id be happy if mine was as clean as the clio lol..
He charges £20 an hour and spent 90 minutes on it but gave me a can of air freshener that smalls like bubble gum, could be my new favourite..
I reckon if I tried It would take me twice as long as he absolutely flies round the car, seriously doesn't stop.. I just watched in amazement as he switched from product to product without a second thought, he was spritzing something over the car which apparently stops the shampoo streaking f%&k knows..
Im totally clueless and it probably wouldn't take much to impress me but he did, highly recommend if he can fit you in... When he left me he was off to do an Aston a Merc and a Ducati..

Heres some pics from today anyway...

Never used to get clean comments on my car. I do everytime I do it now. Says a lot.

JD is now going to tell you that his elderly cleaning lady (must have one as he lives in a rich area dont you know) would throw up on that car if she saw beading that bad no doubt, lol.

Ah the rich boy comment has come out! Excellent - that means I need post no more as it automatically voids every single one of your posts. Congratulations on your jealousy-through-presumption failings.

See you recognised the beading is s**t. Demon shine beads better than that.

That car has had any previous LSP removed by the clay, and then in the time he was there he obviously hasnt then gone and put 3 coats of decent wax on etc so its inevitable it wasnt going to bead well.

Before I got with my current mrs who is into detailing, even having been massively into cars for 20 years already, I can honestly say that I never really cared how the rain ran off my paint or not though, and im sure that is still the case for mr and mrs random (but obviously not once they have had a car detailed properly by JD of course, then their eyes are opened, just like mine are having had the mrs do a decent standard of details)

Flol, im not jealous at all mate, was just taking the micky that you felt somehow it was relevant to your post how much money your neighbours had.

I dont judge people on things like their wealth at all, if you knew me a bit better you would realise to what extent. Ive got friends who are worth tens of millions and friends who havent got a pot to p1ss in, couldnt care less as your bank balance doesnt define your character!

Give it a rest Chip. I still remember the first time I corrected the old Frp and drove into the petrol station, the old guy working said he had never seen a car as clean as that before. Infact he spoke to me for about 30 minutes as it was pretty late on so place was empty.

Bare in mind I had visited the petrol station once a week for 6 months before that.

So hang on (yes, I'm going back on my post above and posting again). Your above post is agreeing that if a Joe Public had his car detailed (not £20 washed as above, properly detailed) they'd see the difference? So would you not think they would ask how to keep the car looking like that, to which any decent DETAILER, not valeter, would advise (2BM etc)?

I'm confused, Chip. I really am.

It is relevant. It's a reply to your post about time, money and doing it themselves...

And of course it does. I spend £££ on detailing products and a decent enough car because I can. Someone who has a lesser bank balance wouldn't spend £££ on Unicorn spunk (to quote Roy).

Im happy for any beading for £30, he said if I wanted it doing properly Id need to bring it to him so he could do it indoors over a few hours.. I dont mind paying £20 an hour when he moves like sh$% off a shovel.. I used to tell people I dont care what you chatge an hour so long as you're fast :)

JD/Gally, Im saying if you havent ever experienced a car that has had a very thorough detail on it, which most people havent, then you will be perfectly happy with a fairly good valet like the OP and not know what all the fuss is about.

A bit like most people will enjoy a TGI steak if they havent ever had a goodmans one etc.

I doubt you two know many people who havent ever seen a car detailed thoroughly as obviously thats what you do all the time, so its probably hard for you to really realise what Joe public sees when they look at a car thats had a basic clean.

Before I get more confused about what you're actually arguing;

Jo public has a nice Audi. He goes to the Polish car wash who marr his paint and it looks s**t after 6 months. He has the money to get it corrected and you agree he would see a difference. So if he had washed it properly in the first place, he wouldn't have a need for a detailer for 1-2 years at least.

So are you arguing that it depends on the car? And if so, my argument is still valid for this thread as that's a nice Alpina not being treated well by a person pretending to do a job, for which the correct term is "detail", as he is, in fact, a valeter...

Ah OK. Now I get the point.

How the hell does it take so long to post that? Your debating skills, sir, need work (you arguing f**kwit x) ;)

Havent ever really noticed you posting particuarly before, I dont take a lot of notice of usernames I just look at post content, and I genuinely havent a clue what you do or dont spend you money on, or how much of it, nor do I care in the slightest, in fact I dont even know what car you drive let alone what products you use on it, so you seem to be thinking I know all sorts of things about you when I know nothing at all.

I agree with you chip, but Id consider this a bit better than a standard valet as its the first time anyones used clay, car felt rough to the touch and now feels smooth :)
