Touch wood never had a problem. The only faults we really see at work are those cars that do short stop/start journeys, and ours does a lot of long runs.

Bought the bumpers and wings etc second hand and I used all the mechanical parts from my old ph1 clio

MOT time this week .........

Just required a front side light bulb and the windscreen washer reservoir topping up to pass!

Advisory on the O/S track rod end which I had replaced

So a clean bill of health until the next service

Future mods for 2011:

• Rear disc conversion to do
• Fit spacers
• Fit new rear wiper motor
• Cup spoiler
• Gloss black badges and mirror backings
• Fit 200 steering wheel and airbag
• Source and fit RS interior

Averages 65-70 for everyday driving. I've had 85+ on a long journey and even on a 'spirited' 330mile round journey last night returned 65mpg

The first wheels we had were OZ F1's in 15" (these are standard on the ph1 172) and the wheels I have now are Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's in 15"

Ordered some Megane sport headlight washers which are slightly stubbier than the clio ones

I bought the complete sport kit second hand off here - pay your £10 membership and you'll have access to the for sale section. I think I paid about £300 for front and rear bumpers, wings and skirts. They were already in flame red but had them repainted anyway because I wasn't happy with the finish.

ideally you'll need the wings too otherwise the front bumper won't line up

RS200 steering wheel now fitted - a few pics of the installation

Old steering wheel

Airbag removed - 2 clips on the back of the steering wheel

Old wheel removed - T50 torx screw

New steering wheel and airbag

Airbag connections - the green connection fits fine but the orange one had a lug in the wrong place so I cut it off and filed down!

New wheel on

Yes it does sit a bit closer to you which gives a slightly bigger reach to the wiper and light switches etc. OK for me but the other half didn't like it to start with!

Been away to for the long weekend and I am just gobsmacked at the DCI economy - even after a year of ownership!

500+ miles to about 2/3rds of a tank and after 200+ miles this was my average MPG!

Recieved the megane washer jets through today - will be fitting them at the weekend, but considering have them colour coded first........
