I need some new front caliper mounting bolts as heads are getting worn. Do I need to buy from Renault or is there anywhere else I can buy from - preferably cheaper!
Thanks greg
I've got the usual problem of discoloured headlamps on my 182 and my attempts to polish out have not really been successful so wondered if I can just buy new housing and swap the lamps over. Question is whether the housing on the xenons is the same as the standard headlights as new housings seem...
Hi
My 182 seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to the window washers - trying to spray the windscreen either works OK, doesn't work at all or the rear window. Totally unpredictable. The rear screenwash does work correctly and all the time. Struggling to know whether the problem is the...
Hi
Managed to get wiper arms off (with tool!) and have got headlamp washers working with new pump but had to remove small filters/valves from tubing to washer jets but water now leaking out of one of the jets and draining the washer bottle,so question - are these valves to prevent leakage? if...
Anyone got any good tips to remove 182 wiper arms? The passenger side one has seized on the spindle and so far resisted all my efforts to remove.
Thanks
Hi has anyone had this problem, end of handbrake cable stuck in caliper, so far penetating oil, heat, hammer have all failed to remove and drilling out is proving difficult!
Hi
Found this on the drive today, though can not be sure it is from my 182 or my wife's Scenic though the condition suggests the clio? It appears to be a rubber block about 3 inches long.
Thanks Greg
The ribbed pipe in the picture 'appeared' whilst I was replacing the front struts, does anyone know what it is? It looks as if it should connect to something but can not find anything?
Anyone got any tricks to remove old brake discs? I've been hitting it all night with a sledge hammer and it's just laughing at me.
(I have removed the screws!)

Hi
I know that the 172/182/197 are often hesitant/lumpy when cold - (this is my 4th one) but my current 182 is different in that when I start from cold after about a quarter of a mile when I am doing about 60 in top gear the engine feels as if it is going to die - no response at all but if I...
Was reading the technical guide on changing the cambelt and it referred to a pdf manual but the links did not work. Does anybody know if available somewhere else?
Just wondered what were the implications of delaying a dephaser pulley change were - if you can stand the embarrassment of your car sounding like a diesel!
- any knock on damage to other components?
- effect on performance?
- effect on fuel consumption?
Thanks
My low mileage 182 suddenly started misfiring on the motorway with no warning - see picture.
Looks like the tip of plug has fallen off into the engine (plug is not too clear in photo and has been damaged but no sign of tip). This has caused the damage seen on the left and also damaged the bore...
Wondered what RSRs are like to live with on a daily basis? How long will they last? How bad in the wet?
I run winter tyres in the winter so would not have to cope with the worst weather.
Hi
I expect this has been discussed many times before but I will ask anyway. Having returned to a 182 from a 197 cup and an elise, although the cup set up provides a good compromise that actually works on bumpy roads I am finding it a bit roly poly so was looking at options that did not cost a...
I know that there are previous posts on this but wondered about latest thinking as i can not source any PE2s which would heve been my choice and none of the other options really appeal:
- Michelin PS3 - has anyone tried these?
- Pirelli P zero- nero - had these on 172 Ok once tread worn down...
