What do you hate about your Clio?

Oh aye...and when you get it just right on a wet/greasy roundabout when the rear wheels stay planted, you get a slight flicker of the traction light...power..uh gives me a dewy tip..

If you want fun whip the back seats out. Back end gets very twitchy running light at the rear

is it snappy-twitchy, or progressive-twitchy?
it'll move under braking and seems nicely controllable - just not keen on making it snappy

The worry over any problems with the clutch, gearbox, pulleys, aux belt or cambelt because that means BIG bills.

The thump, thump, thump, thump....you get from the traction control/engine smacking the sub frame when pulling from a junction in a hurry

Few rattle's, seating position/gear lever/wheel size could be better. Oh and it would have been nice if the spec included a heated front screen

Well its a common fault with the mounts... Mine are fine apart from when the TC kicks in. Its got to the point where I turn it off to get out of junctions in a hurry and the like...
Its no where near bad enough to replace the mounts yet though

1. Wipers are set up for left hand drive
2. 5th gear has a slight "grind"
3. Seating postion
4. Gearbox it w**k
5. Left door rattles
6. Cigarette light flashes on and off over bumps
7. The way it drives like complete shite when cold
8. Clutch is grindy and jerky.
9. 3 beeps when locking it
10. Radio sometimes stays on when removing keys from ignition
11. The way it's even poorer quality than my 172
12. Whenever i lift the bonnet the rubber strip on the slam panel falls off
13. Leeking washer jets
14. Fact i can't turn only my rear fogs on.
15. Steering wheel to big
16. Knocks, squeaks on full lock
17. The way the wheels "slide" rather than turn on full lock
18. Rear fog light comes on the dash when selecting reverse
19. Solenoids tick near the glove box everytime something electrical happens.
20. The way the light on/off switch is also low/high beam so sometimes switch my lights off when driving at night.

Think thats will do for now.

The whiney noise the engine makes sometimes annoys me and I also have a rattle somewhere in the back which I can't locate and it'll disapear on its own for months and then start again!!!

1. All the rattles, shakes and noises that seem to be developing
2. The alarm sometimes failing to set and making a stupid noise
3. The auto-wipers having a devil-esque mind of their own
4. My very partially melting steering wheel
5. My drooping glovebox!

Anyone else feel my pain?!...

I dont know why people moan about what the car is like when its cold because every car I have ever driven that has even a mildly tuned engine is crap when cold. Some of the worst come from the likes of BMW

The fact the 172 Cups track is wider so you always end up with stone chips along the bottom of the doors/arches etc.

Turning cirle is pants.

Problems getting through the 172 Cup back brake sthrough MOT.

Isofix bar along back of boot - Do people making families buy small Clio Cups? Probably not!!!

The design of how the exhaust is hung from the car I think was done at ten to five on a Friday afternoon.

I like my clio for what it is. A run around, its comforable over short distances, economical in the right circumstances ( got my highest ever mpg figure yesterday 57.5 mpg on a 45 mile motorway trip) and it touch wood has been reliable.

The main thing I hate it for is not being a sport, but thats not the cars fault.

Although from Dr Rollo's list I have no. 3,8,10,19 and a few other rattles etc.

Oh and the near side window shorts out the speaker in the door and you have to put it up and down for ages. Realy should fix that.

It's not something that can be fixed!! You can only have both sets of fogs on or just the fronts.
