rear torsion bar need help!!

would it be possible to fit a standard clio MK1 rear beam to a clio 16v and then use spacers to bring the wheels out enough to get them properly in the arches??

I am looking at how big a wheel you could fit in the arch before if fails the outer casing of the torsion bar??

Anyone really know their suspension??

Need advice??

would put stress on the bearings.....

also would have thought it easier to use different offset wheels

Torsion bar on the smaller engine models and the 16v and wuilliams is all teh same part number iirc

no the 16v one is slightly wider

Its made wider with different sized shims......Rsi, 16v, willy and 19 are all the same rear axel

Dont take it as gospel.....cos I havnt cheaked all of them yet...just an educated guess lol
