Carbontec Poland do a lovely kevlar one.
Renault one fine for keeping gravel from the engine, but unlikely that it will take any abuse from rallying.
I made a 10mm alloy guard for when I was doing road rallies as the Welsh whites ain't exactly smooth, so will probably use that again on mine. Although if funds allow I will get the kevlar one.

Thanks
Where could I get one from Renault UK?
Yes Ren UK. They'll say they don't do one, but it is on the parts list.

Never said it was brilliant, but just an option, I've really hit some kerbs hard in mine, and it's survived, plus when the flywheel came off, it didn't manage to cut it's way through.
If I was doing really rough stages, or forest stuff, then I would look for another option for sure. I had a thick titanium one on my Escort.

Ti guard = Lovely white sparks on tarmac!

Seems to be a few sump guard options about, but I've not seen any tank guards for these?

Nothing really, but I was lucky enough to get the one off @sam JFM which is a moulded fibreglass one.
Basically someone has just layered fibreglass over a plastic fuel tank including the mounting points so it just bolts on with the fuel tank. Very neat and tidy.

Tarmac springs.
I am looking at 400lbs front and 250lbs rear (coil over)
Would I be in the right area at those rates?

I have managed to find a supplier who will allow me to distribute their products. So I can offer a helical LSD with or without 5.25 final drive ratio.
£799 for the LSD and £398 for the final drive. They come with a full lifetime guarantee.
They are used extensively by Honda owners and other makes in all performance disciplines they have great reviews.

If they fix the problem with breaking a shaft under the longer drive shaft price should be ok. The old version has got a problem with it

Renault do a sump guard for the Clio. I have one on the race car. It's the same as the plastic one that's on the standard cars, it's not that thick, but I have clouted mine a few times, and it's done the job. It's a standard part made for the south american clios, where the roads are rough.
I know they have put the price up since I got mine.
Just a thought.
I spoke to Renault and the metal version of the sump grd is nearly £300. So it is cheaper to buy the Kevlar one from Poland

Just an update on the project.
I spent the weekend cleaning the rest of the inside out of sound deadening. It has all gone now! I also removed the air con radiator and pipe work. Then I took all the removed junk to the tip. It is quite amazing the amount of weight I have removed.
I came across an interesting problem whilst trying to remove various under the car plastic panels. There are a number of bolts which all my 10mm spanners and sockets don't fit. (9mm too small 10mm too big. It did make me wonder where can I get a 9.5mm socket from!
My next job is to get a key cut from the original one which I bent whilst being a numpty. I can then roll the car out of the barn to trailer it up for a roll cage fitting.

I have a 3/8 which fitted on but it was a spanner and I couldn't get a good grip on them. It made me think I cannot believe Renault fitted an imperial bolt on to a car. That's something BL would have done in the 70's

Do you know if your supplier makes a LSD for the Twingo JR5 box ?
